Amazing Scott I always has been a big fan, but is really encouraging to see a super pro using this magnificent AI tool, it is really a dream come true!
Awesome..... Awesome awesome awesome.... Thank you Scott for this tutorial. What once took us a day to create a nice render, now takes seconds. Scott, what kind of computer/screen is that? Very impressive unit. Also, have you thought of putting some of your atmospheric designs in Flight Simulator? MSFS?
Did I get this straight? So you have a couple of amazing designs done by Scott’s hand and then some images painted by Scott’s hand and imagination and instinct and then the systems gets you gets you 5 trillions variations on that… why? What’s the point ? Is 5 billions sketches/renders better then 3? What is the problem AI is solving? I mean personally I don’t see any improvement the AI is adding to Scott’s initial ideas. His designs were always amazing.
Iteration via speedy thumbnailing; helps you ideate and find a concept you want to push. Also saves a bunch of time. Some people take hours/days to find a direction towards a design, this helps you get there. this also gets you out of your own head and reduces Pidgeon holing. When you are discovering you tend to gravitate towards one idea and it gets harder the further you try to iterate. personally, I find this stage of illustration, concept, and design the most challenging. It doesn't matter how much you render; you can be polishing a turd. The most important thing is that you have a solid base design with interesting shape language; this helps you see things you never would have considered; and allows you to explore. Personally, as an artist I see much usability with this
They want to hire a senior guy, get him to do a few cool paintings and then fire him and use his style. That is the reality of this whole AI movement, its anti-labor.
@ its true . I totally agree this stage is the most difficult and overlooked part of image/design making. I just didn’t see anything cool produced by the machine that wasn’t already there in Scott’s drawing. Just variations more like Rorschach tests. But not really designs or style ideas. I know Scotts books by heart and personally I didn’t see any added value brought by the AI for a designer at Scott level at least. Splatter some ink on a piece of paper and pull out spaceships cars monsters characters out of that. On the other hand I don’t know yet the application of Ai în CAD systems. That maybe is a different thing. Anyway thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me.
@@beto3k I read somewhere that the original meaning of “anti” is more like “in the place of” and the sense of “against” is a particular meaning of that. I think it really fits, anti labor= instead of labor, anti art= instead of art
Awesome to see Scott walking through his work!
Great and inspiring to see one of my heroes using Vizcom.
Aye! It's Scott🙌🏿
I used to luv watching his Art tutorials. He is one of the folks that inspired me to pursue a career in Concept Art.
Crazy! Amazing and scary and impressive and puzzling all at the same time.
Hope they gave Scott a bag of money for this.
Scott, this is incredible!
A S. Robertson sighting 👀
i've been waiting for this! Thank you Scott and Vizzy!

So cool to see this video Scott! I've been playing with Vizcom, but need to use it more for sure.

@@DanGhiordanescu makes sense to be honest! all of this seems very anti art lol
Imagine being the "How to draw" guy and then doing this crap
