I would like to give some additional info which I have gathered after reading Pulitzer prize winning book "Making of An Atomic Bomb" : (1) The first idea that bombs similar to Atom bomb could be made in future was not given by a scientist but by famous fictional writer HG Wells. (2) The initial work on releasing the energy from atom was started by scientist Leo Szilard. (3) Albert Einstein and Leo Szilard were the scientists who wrote letter to then US President Roosevelt that atom bomb can be made and Nazi Germany will try to make it and use it. (4) Enrico Fermi working with Szilard showed that uranium atoms could be spilt by using a neutron which will start a chain reaction and hence a big explosion can be caused. (5) The most shocking part of Atom bomb history is that Nazi Germany was never in the race to make an Atomic Bomb. Hitler used to threaten the world by claiming that soon a powerful weapon will be in his hands which will make enemies of Germany tremble. People in US believed that these threats means that Hitler has ordered scientist Werner Heisenberg to make an Atomic Bomb. Later it was found to be false. Truth was Hitler was talking about the V2 missile, world's first ever missile and Werner Heisenberg was not actually working on Atomic Bomb but on building nuclear reactor to generate electricity from nuclear energy.
You can summarise the whole essay in few words- all this inspiration comes from - "bhagwat geeta" it contains all the secret of universe, the challenge is can you find one. All these scientists find one.
