Glad to hear your air is clearer and that must mean that the wild fires are subsiding. Sage, Ranger and Shadow are so lucky to have you and your husband looking out for them. Seeing them so happy makes me happy. All of your horses are gorgeous.

I love these babies & they all have such different characters. I was looking back through the videos of when Sage was found, she's going to be dark like her mom & dad. It's possible that Shadow has the same dad too because he has a wide blaze. They all look so happy & healthy, you've both done wonders with them all & they certainly are a credit to you too!

The black hair around Shadow's eyes makes it even easier to distinguish the 2 girls. At first it was her blaze. Now, I don't have to see them head on anymore to see who it who. They are growing so quickly. They look very happy. God Bless

Just saw Ranger on the tin; that's a great part of your environment, they get familiar with so many different sights, sounds, sensations that will help them (and the trainers) become better partners. And ultimately safer for the horses.

@@annebell4112 That was Milk mustache from the milk replacement on their noses from drinking out of the buckets. Candace has been giving them milk substitute (which is specially formulated for foals) since they don't have a mother to supply milk g for them. Foals need milk to form strong bones.
The foals are getting so big... the weather here in Maine is crazy...we had 10+ inches of rain in July...garden took off and our freezer is almost full and the green and yellow beans will be ready this weekend.
Are they still getting milk? They are definitely grazing, so I am guessing they are in the transition but not done with milk yet. What are they now, all less than four months? But they are so growing like weeds! I also love watching the adult horses teaching them boundaries and horse manners. The kids all need to learn that while they are little or the lessons may hurt!

I also am not getting the full Social Security I would have had I not had to retire early - again, for medical reasons. I am lucky to survive, there is nothing left at the end of a month. I don't know why I immediately felt like a free loader when she commented. It's just I would love to send some - they have a lot of mouths to feed - but the kindest thing I can do for my family is stay out of the hospital. I have to watch every penny. Not that money keeps me out of the hospital - that's a separate thing. But staying healthy as I can does help a lot.

Looking at Ranger's coloring and white face markings, it looks like he's a sabino paint. He looks to have the jagged white face markings and white lips and chin. Will be interesting to see if he gets the flecking on his flanks, too. The girls' color change will be dramatic once they shed out. But I'm betting on shades of grullo. So glad to see the sky is clearing up.
Ranger is an appaloosa, maybe part paint. I believe Candice says he is an appaloosa. Shadow is going to be dark, not black, but dark brown. You can see the color around her eyes already. Sage will be interesting to see what color she turns out.

I still think to myself, that these 3 beautiful foals wouldn't even be here, had you not found them, had the fillies never gotten up, had Jordan not been out riding that day, and for Ranger to be waiting at the fence. Such a great story You guys are the best, for giving all 3 of them a life.
It was such a bad year the last two summer with the horrible fires! Our air looked just like yours for a solid 2 weeks. It wrecked havoc on my asthma and we had to evacuate my mom because her town had only one highway in and out of the area so they gave notice to evacuate the town. Thank God it didn’t make it to her neighborhood. Now it’s happening all over the UK and Europe.
Have been thinking about all of you the last couple of days as I've heard some people near Kamloops/Vernon BC have had to evacute. I hope that hasn't included you and all your horses and foals. I'm sure you'll all be glad when the Fall arrives and fire season resides. It must be such a constant worry when you have livestock.

You can really tell that you have a trained eye when you shoot the foals. The videos look so great!
