when X-men anime appeared (2011), they made Hisako main character. (even though she was very minor character in comics) When japanese make anime series of american brands, they usually try to use japanese characters.
Honestly, Peni was my favorite in the movie, not just cause of the whole anime thing. Because not only was she insanely adorable, but also clearly the smartest, as not only is she psychically linked with a spider that co-pilots a spidey-themed robot, but she can create a freaking flash drive from a computer with all the data from the hard drive. Also, the robot was just as adorable. She was also one of the most expressive out of each of the cast. Well, her and Spider-Ham. Like, she clearly shows that she’s not just another version of Peter Parker, as there’s enough differences for her to stand out from the other Spider-Man incarnations. Honestly, she deserves her own anime.
I always felt like she wsnt in the movie enough to leave an impact. I went in wanting to like her best but the flashdrive thing is all she really does to warent her own inclusion, but i feel like the movie made her, ham, and noir seem more impactful than they were. I think she had the most exaggerated expressions becaue manga/anime, but i dont think she was the most expresive. but thats just me. I just hope we get to see more of the other 3 spiders be more involved in what comes next.
