I watched this today with my English budgie and he was trying to mimic the singing. I was cracking up hearing him screw up so many times, LOL!!!! Awesome video, thank you for sharing - thumbs up!!
@@alirichards4998 oh btw, I was told by a breeder that other breeders often sell off males who don't sing to pet shops, thus producing a line of silent baby canaries. You might have one. They like to keep the singing ones to sire more, when they have too many then they sell off most of them. If he is molting he won't sing either or still a baby.
I bought a Persian Canary just days ago. I named him Mazen and I'm using your video to motivate him to sing more often. He's a bit too quiet sometimes but when he gets going he sings very beautifully! 😁
@@ahura4323 yes he sings... or at least he used to (RIP). It's actually a Melanin Yellow-Green Canary, but the salesman who I bought him from named him a Persian Canary. It was simply bred in Iran, but it's not actually "Persian" or anything lol.

My bird is really silent these days, But when I put this one. He sang like a real canary would. Thank you for uploading this, this really helped my bird. 😄
Canaries "speak" the language of their region. It would be interesting to see if they copy each others' tone if two or more from different countries were brought together.

I had a bird that sang just like that, I caught the roommate yelling at him and throwing a cover over him in the day time.... I threw out the roommate...
No..you didn t well at all...i m like your roommate...some person suffer from a disorder called misophonia...and a sound annoying and high frequency like that of a canary all day are debilitating for some person...more empaty before talk...we are not all the same
Canary males sing to find their mate, just like orioles. It's beautiful when they sing, but it also means that they are lonely. When I got to know that, I bought a female for my canary male and he was sooo happy! He sang a whole day going closer and closer to her. Now he only rarely sings but they do everything together and chit-chat all day, they are so cute. Some people keep then lonely just to hear them singing regularly - I think that's cruel.
@@debabanighosh4950 they are not caged, they have a 2-storey jungle room in the tower of my house with large windows, lots of branches, a fountain and a birth bath. They fly around all day. If I let them free here in middle Europe they would freeze to death or die of hunger in winter.

Like chickens on an egg "farm" or pigs in a piggery, for their whole life, never seeing the sun, never being able to run, fly or swim freely... Many people think that animals don't have feelings but they do and they suffer.

My canary stoped Singin and not sure why after his first molt hasn't been the same when he listens to others sing paces side to side with excitement but that's pretty much it. So aggravating cuz I know he's got it in them cuz when I first got him before his molt he was singing like a champ
