I have 2 horses, both unshod. The older one, Cassie, is retired but when she was in work she absolutely had to be shod or she would have worn her hoof away to nothing. With my second horse Lucy I am not doing anything to needs her to be shod but I do trim more regularly to keep her feet tidy for what we do. I think you do a fantastic job with your horses and it is obvious that the well being of all your horses is hugely important to you. As for the trolls, me thinks they are suffering from the green eyed monster a bit and like you say what you do and what they may do will more than likely be two totally different things.
