The optic is higher than the barrel, so when the optic is zeroed for 50+ yards, up close your actual impact is going to be under your point of aim with the optic. Shooting paper will demonstrate it. TH-cam it for a better explanation. It’s good to know.

Hey flair, just wanted to give you a quick tip with that five Seven mag, you can actually just press the rounds down from the top like an AR mag instead of the painful press and slide method
You're shooting low because you're aiming at a target thats like 10 yards from you with a 3x thats probably sighted in for 50 meters. The sight sits higher than the barrel does (Height over bore) meaning you have to aim lower on the sight to bring your barrel up higher. If the sight is a circle with a line on each side of it aim at the bottom of the circle if youre closer than 25 yards.
The .22 is a newer gun I’m not 100% sure how old it actually is. But in wwii the Germans issued what was called a drilling combination gun. There a bunch of different combinations but the most common combination is a 16guage double barrel shotgun and a 7x57 rifle round that sat just under the double barrel 16’s.
With the amount of land and resources that you guys have, I'm surprised that you don't already have a 25, 50, and 100 yard range with a bench and overhang to sight in. .
Gotta keep in mind that a .22 zeroed at 50yards is gonna drop like 6 inches at 100, so banjo should have been holding like 2-4 inches over the target for that last challenge
That 5.7x28mm is a SWEEEETT round. It's kinda like a .223. with the bottom half of its shell cut off and a lighter-weight bullet/lead. The top half of a .223 shell is a bit smaller than the bottom half. And the bullets (leads) are just about the same diameter, but the 5.7 lead is shorter, like half as long as the .223. And that 5.7 is like at least 3 -17HMR rounds put together. It's a sweet round when shot from a pistol, and even sweeter shot from a rifle. And yes, it will work on a Coyote. lol.

It amazes me how much time you spend around guns but how you know so little lol 10mm auto was the answer to the original Miami-Dade shootout, it's pretty strong (loaded to old FBI specs and modern hunting/self defense loads) and eventually lead to the .40 S&W. Nowadays it's an option for concealed carry, and for some folk, it's a hunting gun/woods carry. Really interesting caliber. Recommend checking it out.
I think the competition videos are my favorite. would love to see a $100, Walmart v Harbor Freight, Lowe's v Home Depot, Basspro v Rural King type series of over night challenges

My dad has one of those AR-7's. It's a tack-driver! And they have 25 round banana mags👍. The barrel is aluminum with a steel core. Be careful, it can get hot pretty quick! You can even get a collapsing stock and ventilated heat shield for the barrel.
Love the video. Mix it with a challenge I recommend on the last 48hr challenge and you just the survival gun, or just small caliber rifles. And traps, just to make it fun.

5.7x28mm in a pistol is the same as a 22mag in a rifle. For the 17cal it's 17wsm in rimfire and 17 hornet in center-fire that your thinking about
