They most definitely were getting on it. 90% of the trucks in this video were either a chipped 7.3 Stroke or 12 valve Cummins tuned by Billy Bob with a screwdriver, with the other 10% being a 6.0 Powerstroke and a 24 valve. I promise, that 90% isn't making a whole lot of horsepower (
Your sort of right. The main reason diesels have tremendous torque is simple. Compression. You've got between 18.5 and 21 to 1 stratic compression depending on engine, and then you have to factor in boost pressure, which effectively increases compression. You are right about multiple injection events on newer engines, but older ones do not do that, and still have very high torque. Gas engines by design cannot run that high compression, typically 8.5-11.5, hence diesel;s superior torque.
Actually, it has quite a bit more horsepower. The ratings from Ford: 7.3 Powerstroke (99 and up): 275 hp, 525 tq 6.8 Triton V10 (3 valve): 360 hp, 455 tq If you know anything about racing and the relationships between horsepower and torque output onto the wheels (through transmission and rear differential gearing, etc.), you'll understand that nearly 100 extra horsepower is quite a big deal.
My Powerstroke is only used to tow my car hauler, 42ft flatbed, and 38ft box trailer. I would never take it where I ride because everything down there gets dusted, hit with rocks, and pretty much destroyed. The 7.3 is a pavement queen for only heavy loads, the F150 is to tear the shit out of and haul small things like quads, scrap, and other light trailers.
fords usually have an lsd but some dont for fuel economy and if they are 2wd only its more likely not going to be used for anything requiring more traction. i got an 09 ram and they are still using open diffs in 4x4 models and lsds in 2wd models like the sport rt. but in all actuallity its for fuel mileage and you can order it with or without an lsd or in the case of chevys lockers. and plus if you have the money to spend on an exspensive lift then you should be able to afford a strong lsd
That first truck the exhaust was through the hood, so when it was burning out it looked like a locomotive from the 1800's in the sense of a smokestack. :D
Don't even need a relationship with racing. Losing 100 horsepower is like taxes. You really want that horsepower, if your losing the gas milage with the power you got, you want every inch of it.
The 302 is a crate engine from Ford Racing. The 7.3 ran an 11.27 at 122.** in 4wd on the last run of Gateway International last year. And yes, if I had that in a Mustang, it would be faster, but I can't haul my quads in a Mustang, can I? I can't beat the shit out of a Mustang like I do my truck, can I?
i think the black cummins at 3:55 is the only one that knows what a real burnout is. everyone else did a boost launch and or half ass'd one wheel burnout haha
Sorry son the v 10 is no match for a diesel. A few years ago dieselpower magazine put a Ford v 10 against the same truck with a powerstroke. The diesel beat the gasser in every test.
In-cor-rect... "Powerstroke", in relation to diesel engine names, is owned and trademarked by Ford. Hence, International/Navistar does not use the "Powerstroke" name on their own products....by trademark law. The 6.7 Powerstroke was completely designed and built in-house by Ford Motor Company. What does all that mean? Simple... There is a Ford diesel. That's game, set, and match on this discussion, holmes.
i love watching diesel videos not because of the actual video but because every person in the comments section suddenly becomes a diesel mechanic
Dude! What's with all that black smoke coming from the exhaust?! :O
I gotta say the best burnout was the grey cummins. that was bad ass
Making a single Prius pollutes more than running this event.
diesel smoke doesnt go to the ozone, a prius is worse than a diesel for the environment
240p we meet again
No Duramax allowed ?
14 years later and that white Cummins 2:01 still the best sounding 6 speed I’ve heard
black smoke = power
Can anyone in this video do a burnout???
when that 05-09 dodge i believe spun gears 1, 2 and chirped 3 remind me of my dads truck when he does it in his 02 f350

fuck the environment, fuck the trees, we need more trucks like deeZ.!!
That dodge neon looked exactly like one that drives around my town.. where was this filmed?
That white 1st Gen dually looks like mine, only difference is mine is a cab and a half and I have an offset 7" single.

hahah yep, he tried to finish it off later but actually did a burnout
How fast are your trucks exactly? Curious. Never seen a fast driving truck here in central Europe...
A couple of those were decent but I was waiting for a rollover at the end... doing donuts in a truck that tall is a little sketchy.
Was that the diesel vette there? i was hopin it was?
When diesel drivers get along we bring the muthafuckin ruckus to environmentalists!!!
coming fro the dude with the F-150 with what... a 5.4L triton in it? That's cute. What's your other truck? chev 1500?
If a dodge neon does a better burnout than your diesel, you should be ashamed
+David Lee it was a neon srt4
Whats up alot of these trucks are having difficulty burning the tires. I can understand maybe alot of them being stick.

my favorite burnout was the white dodge at 2:13 that was pretty sweet. and that lifted ford was bad ass
The dodge in the beginning is sick!
If you dont have any trees you wouldn't even be having any trucks like "deeZ".
why? from the burnouts because diesels put out less emmisions than a gasser!
That grey dodge 2500 is my favorite in the show and he's from Nebraska
Yay
nothin sounds better than a straight piped dodge diesel

Wondering what can be the max speed and acceleration 0-100km/h in this kind of car then?
Try a 400hp Procharged 302 that pulls consistent 12.7. The other is an 11 second 7.3 Powerstroke that's worth more than everything in your driveway.
and people wonder why 6.0s are soo prone to head gasket failure
your honda does 4wd burnouts huh right on
I am looking for the video where they instal an air cooled turbo with gas on a diesel.
3:40 listin to the little mouse!! lol
How come when fords burnout only one tire spins most of the time?
the only thing i hate about those trucks is when i pull up behind one in my g37 and get covered in black smoke and dust
you know cummins come with over 800 ft lbs of torque? they can tow mighty well
your chevy weighs what again?
if you wanna see some real good diesel burn outs, look up "big black smoke show". a couple of guys from where i live were puttin on a pretty good show
That first truck the exhaust was through the hood, so when it was burning out it looked like a locomotive from the 1800's in the sense of a smokestack. :D
That grey dodge ram is a quiet one!
@cummins881996 oh im sorry, guess you didnt get the memo that the new powerstroke is made in mexico.
that was the best one-wheel-wonder i've ever seen...literally. 2:50
what year is the truck @ 2:00?
Would a borg warner 13 40 chain driven handle it
what is the transfer case dodge are used
Don't even need a relationship with racing. Losing 100 horsepower is like taxes. You really want that horsepower, if your losing the gas milage with the power you got, you want every inch of it.
That clutch is gone!! (white old dually dodge)
i didnt see any chevy durmaxes
This got randomly suggested lol and did know people did color matching back then
Sad how the Neon had one of the best burnouts.
That's funny. Never head of a diesel running on gas.
and I had bad tires on it, it really wont spin them like that even if I try with most tires
Y did u steal my footage of my burnout on my other account?!
what truck blows mor smoke ford or dodge
nothinh sounds better then a stright piped diesel
@iuliktm It is unburnt diesel fuel.. Too much fuel not enough air.
1:30 talk about baked clutch
On Saturday I will buy a brand new computer

The Vette's going to need a bath.
how am i supposed to know when i cant see the front end
that dodge at 2:05 is something serious.
nice white ford with the one wheel peel... LOL
Sweet Video! But them Fords where having problems getting the types spinning.
Lol the random neon had me laughing
i am from poland and i love USA!!!!!! i love this contry becouse he have the best cars
Diesel i known to be more economical for the air than regular gasoline
nice body lift and v6
Is it because there lsds r weak?
i think the black cummins at 3:55 is the only one that knows what a real burnout is. everyone else did a boost launch and or half ass'd one wheel burnout haha
im sick right now but in the 2 weeks or so i will upload a video of my trying to do burnouts with my side-by-side.
Ya hear that v tec kick in?
Who else thought that big ford was gunna roll...
6.57 seconds off my life I'll never get back mate bring those things here to Australia and we will show you more then just a peg legger
There is a Ford diesel. The new Ford 6.7l diesel is designed and built by Ford.
i have to get myself a dodge soon..
That neon is not a deasel
Isn't that the "Diesel" Corvette?.....
Kickass vid man!!
Sorry son the v 10 is no match for a diesel. A few years ago dieselpower magazine put a Ford v 10 against the same truck with a powerstroke. The diesel beat the gasser in every test.
Mall crawlers or Mud boggers, If its a Cummins I like it!
Ford and Dodge are the way to go.
and the big for wasnt even doin dounuts he drove in fucking circles letting the tires throw dirt so it "looked cool".
6:04 i like to call this painting the fence.
how can u tell whats a burn out and whats pollution
I thought we were gonna see burnouts
I'd prefer traction over a burnout
In-cor-rect...

the trucks don't, the motors do. and the answer would be cummins.
love to hear the sound of that truck what the hell is in there at 2:00
There's only one problem with this video there's no chevy duramax's.
10.797 @ 126.51mph.
lol that pos neon burned out better than all those trucks, thats just sad
