    Sachin is once in a generation cricketer who everyone wants to become when they are children. As you grow up, you realise life is hard and you are not Sachin. Then you realise your role model was always on the other end, fighting hard, getting abused, doing everything for the team yet silently doing everything for the team. To the Wall, who taught us Life through cricket.
    Edit: Wow 1k likes. Thank you everyone.

    • @ganarajrao
      @ganarajrao 3 ปีที่แล้ว +114

      Rahul was abused for batting slow throughout his career, was abused for declaring innings when Sachin was @194, was abused as Greg Chappell stooge when Ganguly was dropped, was abused when india got knocked out in 2007 odi wc. We now look back at his career and we see a great player, but a great career has times when they made their critics applaud them.

    I usually don't comment on TH-cam videos, but you have really touched upon an issue quite close to my heart and I believe many others' as well. Rahul Dravid to me is the greatest cricketer India has ever produced. There have been brilliant batsmen, bowlers etc.but Dravid is, what you call a cricketer. On field or off it, he always has been dignified and humble. His game was always built on diligence and resilience. A real class act. For someone growing up in the 90s and early 2000s , there could have been no better sportsperson, to look upto with admiration. His influence extends far beyond cricket and into life as well. Not a single indian cricketer has sacrificed so much for indian team , let it be opening, let it be wicket keeping, let it be batting down the order at no. 5 .....
      He has done it all and very calmly, true true true gentleman of the game..... just love for this guy man,,
      Look at his international runs,, I mean after Sachin and kohli he is the third highest international run scorer for india.... having scored 10k plus runs in both odi and tests....
      Love this man's humble nature.....
      True gem of a cricketer.....
      Like once another legend Jacques Kallis said, if rahul dravid was from any other country people would have acknowledged him more, he always gets overshadowed by Sachin,, who had played many more matches than him....
      No disrespect to Sachin sir....
      If Sachin sir is looked as God of the cricket.... rahul sir must me looked as religion of the game just bcuz of his contribution too,, let it be for what he has done for the team as a player, how he built future stars as an under 19 coach, than as the head of NCA and now as the indian teams coach.....

No catchy lines and thumbnail, straight and easy elaboration and illustration of things, and put them as exactly they are, simple. The whole video I watched without skipping a second.
    I still remember, when I was child, my elder brother was a diehard fan of Rahul Dravid, and I used to make fun of him. But by growing up, I realized the importance of stalwart and legend Dravid. And now I am admirer, if fan is not a suitable word, for him. A admirer who never told anybody that I love him more than my favourite Dhoni. It's like secret and untold love story, which is so previous that you kept this whole story to ONLY yousellf. He is most criminally underrated captain and batsman.

    Amazing selfless servant to Indian cricket team even after retirement.
    None of the superstar Indian cricketers can match Dravid's selfless commitment for betterment of Indian cricket.

    No video is enough to describe Dravid’s service to Indian Cricket. This video is a great gesture to introduce Dravid for people around the world who may not know.

    Thank you so much for making this dear friend. Dravid is a blessing that India still doesn't realize, sadly. Hopefully one day people of this country will give him the due credit that he deserves 🙌
