My grandmother taught me this stitch over 30 years ago - it's a great stitch and I had forgotten until I saw you demonstrating it. You 'showed' me exactly like she did - no words, just watch!!
I love that this stitch will actually save yarn because instead of a yarn over, the previous stitch provides that yarn over. I also love the texture this stitch produces.
Your yarn is beautiful. I sort of started learning crochet about a year ago and found your tutorial to be very easy to understand. The music in the background was so relaxing. Thank you.
Well now, this surprised me. At first, I thought this was an extremely old stitch, 17 hundreds. Yet you've done it ever so slightly different beginning at the second row. You've worked into the two "top/back" loops of the stitches. I've only done it by working through all three of the "top three" loops. It's all I've ever come across in old "Written" patterns without pictures. As dumb as it sounds, it never dawned on me to try placing the hook elsewhere! Been crocheting over 50 years and only through TH-cam have I been introduced to the concept of "Changing" the hook placement if I wanted. I've heard of and done "Crazy Crochet" yet the stitches themselves were only the 5 basic ones. Ch, SS, SC, HDC & DC. Why I have been so "STUCK IN A RUT" I have no idea. You would think that, since I used patterns without photos, that I'd simply place the hook wherever I desired. But alas, no. Thank you for this variation. It has more texture than my version has. Oh! Just recalled that I have two lovely, variegated yarns I can use with this stitch!
I love this stitch!💖 You make it look like it's doable, thank you for the inspiration.🧶💖 And the yarn is so pretty, shows off the stitch nicely. And sorry for some of the negative Nellie's and their comments.😒 Your work is really nice and I appreciate your videos.❤
They were NOT being negative "Nellies" (Nancy). I also had a hard time figuring out if it was the front or back loop. You could have put the directions in the upper left corner along with the "hdc, back loop, and chain 2" at the end of the row. 😮
Your video and hand motions are so clear when doing this interesting stitch that no words are necessary. I'll certainly be trying it out. Thank you. Does the stitch have a name?
I can’t wait to try this stitch. Could you give the information on the yarn, brand color name. I love those colors together and really want to buy the yarn you’re using. Nice video.
I would prefer that you verbally explain the stitches as you do them instead of the music. I don't see that well and can't tell if you are using back loops only or the full stitch to make the next stitch. Could you please rethink your videos using words?
It may help to go to settings and change the playback speed to a slower speed. That helps me to see/comprehend better. She is going through both loops. Just make sure you are going through the top loops
Agree .. I slow it down which is better but it's the music/noise that makes trying to get the pattern impossible at times .. there are a few great crochet companies who do talk you through it .. they are so good ... 👍
I am very new to crochet. Forgive my simple question. I notice that sometimes the yarn is picked up from over the yarn and other times it is from the underside. It seems like it shouldn't matter, but I want to verify I am not missing something.
I have vision problems too. The music is lovely but I find it distracting even just watching I would appreciate it so much if you could talk or at least captions. I use these videos as instructional. Thank you.
34 seconds in, and you are still squeezing yarn. Please take these comments seriously. This is far too long to show off yarn that you are not selling, and you do not even disclose what it is. I want to learn about that promised crochet stitch. Not endlessly look at yarn. Also, please show a sample of the stitch you are working on at the beginning. I understand. These delay tactics help to earn you money. But they don't if we just get impatient and quit the video 34 seconds in because we are sick of looking at yarn.
Your patterns are wonderful, but the lack of verbal or written instructions is immensely frustrating. And not having the option to reduce speed on the shorts es equally frustrating.
Ahhhhhhhh and you have what looks like missed stitches right smack dab in the middle... pause at around 13:30 and it looks to be in the green to the far right of the thumb nail. =((
This is how I learn and I am learning! Doing this instead of smoking!

That makes a lovely stitch. I could use that for a top. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for not talking. I hope that doesn't sound rude, but I personally find it much easier to follow when there's no talking xx
I love that this stitch will actually save yarn because instead of a yarn over, the previous stitch provides that yarn over. I also love the texture this stitch produces.
I LOVE these “watch & learn” tutorials!! I find the excessive talking extremely distracting. As for the music, well that’s why the MUTE button exists!
Beautiful and easy👏👏👏
Your nonverbal video is very easy to understand.
The guitar music is so soothing! Lovely clear video of a pretty crochet stitch. Thank you!

Thank you so much 😊
I'm a visual learner, so thank you. For other people utube has a mute button and a speed button. Don't be so critical.
Yes heaven forbid a free video not meet their specific needs
Nice. I want to try this in a solid color.
I like the colors reminds me of spring.
Very nice and the design is on both sides. Great!
I love watching your videos. Thank you so much. I love to crochet and when my arthritis isn’t acting up this is what I love to do. ❤
Beautiful. Thank you
Thank you so much very beautiful

It really accentuated the colors of the yearn. So lovely. Almost a southwestern look.

How lovely! It looks great in the variegated yarn.
Using this patern for the body of my sweater. So easy. ❤❤
That's so cute! Looks great for a scarf.
What a beautiful work! Easy to follow! Thank you so much, I really appreciate this tutorial ❤
Very pretty! I can see myself using this stitch . The yarn is gorgeous too; looks like Bernat Satin, but I've never seen it in those colors.
Amazingly beautiful!❤
Luv your vids and your instructions are excellent.
Thank you so much ✨
Please share the yarn’s information. I’d like to order it ASAP. Thank you.
Love that yarn, so pretty. Thank you for the captions
That is a beautiful stitch. Could you share what brand of yarn you used in the video ? Thank you !
Love that yarn
Lovely, definitely going to try this, the music is lovely 😊
Thank you ❤️
Lindíssimo o seu trabalho, parabéns e muito obrigada pelo envio do vídeo. ❤️🙏⭐️

It’s a lovely stitch thank you so much. ❤❤❤
I love your work, amazing too will love for you to be explaining the stitches. Im a little slow , but love your work and want to learn more
Thank you so much!
LOVE this…thank you!!!❤
All my Thanks from Canada
Beautiful stitch ❤ can’t wait to try it
I will be trying this soon!!
I would love to experiment with this stitch in the round and also see how to work in inc and dec
I’m a visual learner thank you. This was perfect, if you explained it I would be confused. Going to make a baby blanket I think
Love it. Thx for sharing ❤
Very pretty colours
Your video and hand motions are so clear when doing this interesting stitch that no words are necessary. I'll certainly be trying it out. Thank you. Does the stitch have a name?
It is called linked half double crochet
@@esmeraldagreen1992 Thank you. :)
Would make a good edge for blanket Thankyou it’s lovely 🇬🇧
Bueno el punto es muy bonito 😍
Très facile à voir et à faire. Vous n avez qu à modérer la vitesse de lecture. Merci pour ce beau modèle
I agreed with the other ladies! The music is obnoxious!
I'd rather have you explain the stitches!
Wow! Nice stitch! Thank you!
Very pretty color stripping, reminds me of watermelon!
💯
So easy and beautiful!
What yarn and color is this yarn?
Very pretty
What kind of yarn are you using in all your patterns. They are beautiful thank you 🙂
You won’t get an answer. Looks like sock weight 4 ply. Google what size yarn to use with 2.5mm crochet hook 😊
Look at JAROL multi coloured yarns they will work well with this pattern
Sehr einfaches aber sehr schönes Muster. Was ist das für wundervolles Garn ???
I can’t wait to try this stitch. Could you give the information on the yarn, brand color name. I love those colors together and really want to buy the yarn you’re using. Nice video.
Pretty 😊
I love the stitch. Great for blanket or lap blanket. I think the turning of beginning and end of row needs to be cleaner. Edge seems to be uneven
Please share the yarn brand and color! Thank you!
That is gorgeous! What kind of border would you recommend for this stitch pattern?❤❤
Looks beautiful but I believe this is not a new stitch. ❤
Maybe it is to her...
And to be honest, it says newly discovered anyways..
She's using the back loop only.😊
Oh it's fab
Terrific!
I would like to see it with a more even or squared edge.
Is there a reason for squeezing the yarn like a loaf of bread?
How many chains did you skip in the start of the first row please ❤
What is the yarn you are using in this please TNI.
Herringbone stitch
I would prefer that you verbally explain the stitches as you do them instead of the music. I don't see that well and can't tell if you are using back loops only or the full stitch to make the next stitch. Could you please rethink your videos using words?
Agree 100%. The video is mostly worthless to me without verbal explanation.
I agree, music only videos annoy me and I tend to skip by them and not watch
It may help to go to settings and change the playback speed to a slower speed. That helps me to see/comprehend better. She is going through both loops. Just make sure you are going through the top loops
There is a transcript to follow along
Agree .. I slow it down which is better but it's the music/noise that makes trying to get the pattern impossible at times .. there are a few great crochet companies who do talk you through it .. they are so good ... 👍
This is kinda like the fan stitch
Thank you for this beautiful stitch does anyone know the name of it
How many would you have to chain for the turn?
I am very new to crochet. Forgive my simple question. I notice that sometimes the yarn is picked up from over the yarn and other times it is from the underside. It seems like it shouldn't matter, but I want to verify I am not missing something.
May I know where you purchased this woollen?
Looks lik a version of nalbinding
What would be a good item to make with this stitch. Also what is it called? Thank you
I have vision problems too. The music is lovely but I find it distracting even just watching I would appreciate it so much if you could talk or at least captions. I use these videos as instructional. Thank you.
Certainly not for the beginner. I have no clue. 😂 I’m here for the yarn….what is it? Off to go find a tutorial I can figure out.
This is known as the herringbone i think… but the one I learned was a 2 row, the back side wasn’t the same stitch like this is.
I would like verbal also

I always go to the end to see if i wanna see it or not ..but i agree i like seeing a sample at the beginning
I like the stitch, is there a name for it?
It would be easier to see the pattern in a finished row if you used single color yarn.
Is there a written pattern?
Your patterns are wonderful, but the lack of verbal or written instructions is immensely frustrating. And not having the option to reduce speed on the shorts es equally frustrating.
Pretty, but what is us for?😊
She is showing how to do a stitch .
It can be for anything rectangular, I imagine. Or bags, scarf, etc. use your imagination! 😊
@@bbsamazon
Maybe,even a jacket?
PS:. . . . . .or a blanket?
What size hook please, I couldn't tell.
She out the size up at start, 2.5mm
It depends on your yarn.
Does this stitch have a name?
Definitely it would have, but I don't know it's name dear.
It us a linked half double crochet
If you’re doing this silent movie style, that’s fine- but could you maybe include written pattern instructions. Love the yarn. What is it called?
@@susanjay7347 not hard to follow. She even puts the stitches on the video
What’s with the yarn squidging? I don’t get it.
It would be great if you verbally explained what you were doing
Ahhhhhhhh and you have what looks like missed stitches right smack dab in the middle... pause at around 13:30 and it looks to be in the green to the far right of the thumb nail. =((
