Jeff Caldwell I'm missing this kind of true soul music! So pure, no commercial, no gimmicks, jus t pure pure soul and R & B that I have been missing foe so long! Oh you record companies, how blinded you have been to have this unimaginable talent slip thru your fingers!,, You have lost the best of the best since The Temptations of the sixties! So much so that when I was looking for this song and Solo popped up I said nah cany be them ... this song is from a much older group lol.... i had totally forgot about Solo. Talented group.
NYC 1991- I was a police officer- 47/50th subway- they sang there afternoon rush hours 4 days a week for months. I let them sing inside the system near the turnstiles so they could entertain and get paid. They help the day go by and we talked and laughed in between sets. Great young men, great memories and yet sad of the tragedy that befell the group (death). Massive talent and inspiration. I wanted to be their manager but Jimmy and Terry beat me to it. :)

Both of the dudes leading do have a Bobby Womack, David Ruffin, or Dennis Edwards flair to thier voices. Love the harmony of these guys. Cant get it like this anymore. Always loved the street corner singing especially"under the boardwalk"
Early 90s NYC smh. I used to make it rain on their collection plate on the subway platform. It seemed like whenever I was in the city I ran into these fellas singing their butts off. They made a killin long before they got discovered. Oh and that was when they used to sing the whole Sam Cooke song not just a teaser. I love these guys. RESPECT.
