Thank you so much for the video. I will have to watch it a few times because I am challenged with these concepts. I have not taken any money out of my retirement account in the 5 years I have been retired. You hit on it, I am afraid to spend the money. I am afraid of cost of healthcare and assisted living and all that. I planned to meet rmd withdrawal by giving to charity.
But maybe Roth conversion, I would love to see a video, I know nothing about it.
Your presentations are so insightful and well presented. You make such complicated stuff clearer and less intimidating. Thank you for all your work.

Yes. I vote for a detailed Roth Conversion strategy video. Can you also consider doing a video on capital gains harvesting with several examples in a future vid. In addition, any Microsoft Excel worksheet templates or ideas for them would enhance your content. Very nice work on your other YT videos. Thanks.

Thank you for the comment and suggestions! I appreciate you checking out the video. I do have a video that goes over example of capital gains harvesting and how you can create your own tax brackets in retirement. You might find it helpful. Here it is: th-cam.com/video/0-5l__S2lMk/w-d-xo.html

Great info - and yes would love to see a video on Roth conversions, our dilemma is we have > $3,000,000 in traditional IRA's,(we still work but now have ROTH 401K's from our employment plan) and would need to pay the tax on the conversions from the conversion itself, I really do not know if this is advisable or would be a benefit long term as far as taxes paid over our lifetimes, Thank you

Thank you for checking out the video and leaving a comment! I’ll aim to address Roth conversions in more detail in a future video. If your company is now offering a Roth 401(k) option, that’s definitely something to consider. I also have a video that discusses the details of that decision, which I’ll link below, along with a couple of others that may be relevant to your situation.
If you view them, feel free to ask any further questions. Happy to hear you liked this video.

Pretty much same position here with a very large traditional IRA and still working in a high salary position so it doesn’t make sense to do Roth conversions. Also had to take a RMD this year, used QCDs but still taxed out the wazoo & likely always will be..
