New to the channel. Looking for land now. This will be the first thing I would be build and thanks for making a beginner believe that anything is possible to build....WITH PALLETS!😊
Thank you for making this video sir. I am about to build a small pallet shed also. I have never done this before and at the moment I am considering different ways to assemble the pallets. Watching you put your shed together and hearing your thoughts about the challenges of working with irregular pallets was a good learning experience. My head is now buzzing with new ideas.
Thank you for being so real about this build, you explain very well, looks doable... certainly appreciate the video! This will be my next project, thank you! 👍😁
Wasn't bad in my opinion. There's a guy on here that did a barn. Came out lovely. My issue is my pallets are 75x55. I have the height I need with just 1 pallet. Your video did help me figure out the tie in. Great! Thanks...
You should see my man cave out in the woods. I used trees as the frame, tarps for the roof (with sheet metal on top of that) and high quality foam sheets from the factory I work at as the walls. Works perfect, and the wood stove I made keeps it almost TOO warm in there.
Exactly! (single 60yo women) I have lots of ideas, but no experience to go on... I have access to lots of free pallets, but I can only get 2-3 in my car at a time... Arg! How many (40x48) pallets do I need to collect?
i'm doing it right now~ i used your video and about 2 other people as a guide for how i'm doing it. this is neat....and harder than it seems~ but i am not a carpenter or construction type person at all~ so this is all just checking you guys out and playing at it. thanks for this video
I bought a chicken from a person one time and she showed me her chicken coop and it knocked my socks off, I couldn't believe it she built it out of pallets. It was beautiful you can live in it.
Very nice and awesome build. I am looking to tackle something like this on a vacant property lot I just acquired to store farm equipments and machinery. You gave me such inspiration! Keep it up 👍
Great video... I just started my youtube channel about my pallet company. I will most definitely be using some of the pallets to do DIY projects. Keep the videos coming!
I built a whole dog enclosure back when outta pallets before I was a carpenter. I appreciate you making this video and am happy to subscribe. I look forward to when you get to your first 1,000 subs. Take care bro.
Next time use try using packed tires to level the floor instead of the bricks...once it's leveled the width of the tire will displace the weight of the building and it will not sink or shift...
So far it's lookin good. An anyone whom hasn't built a pallet shed befor need not knock it? I've ben workin wth pallets for a while now an from what I see ur doin well! Rick.Mary Arkansas 😉😃😁🙏🏼
It's looking good! I suggest using 8' Pallets for the walls on a future build if you can source them. I built a 12'x16' shed using pallet lumber & rough cut lumber. For the walls, I used 8' pallets and cut them down to size (91.5") so when I added the bottom & double top plates (4.5"), the overall height was exactly 8'. Sheathed the outside with rough cut lumber.
I think for an extra $50-100, you could have put in a 4" cement pad, which would have saved you the nightmare of leveling all these imperfect pallets. Economical way to extend your usable space, and for the dog, worth any effort to improve his quality of life.
The guy in the video seems awfully nice and I would definitely drink a few beers with the man . But to be honest the moment I saw him make that pallet floor I couldn't watch no more. Guarantee this dude going to be having to rip that shit down within the next five years if not sooner.
All well and good except you he used screws. I'm sure it's going to shift and move around, screws snap when this happens, that is why we frame houses with nails and not screws.
On man ! The worst DYI pallet shed 😂. Glad you did it instead of me I watch all the videos had watch the train wreck to end. I do have to give you credit for finish it , but next time have your Dad & Brother help…
it's almost impossible to get free/cheap pallets anymore where I live because people get them all, and sell them because of how easily you can do projects like this which stops most people from having the opportunity; it's frustrating. I couldn't even find two to build a frame for my twin bed.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't last for a long time, pallets are usually pretty sturdy. I work in a factory and the pallets we have are some hefty SOBs.
Dude what can I say but...... FREAKING AWESOME MAN!!! I am a female (yes I checked lmfao) in her late 40's disabled and on a very very and I do mean very fixed income due to a medical condition that I have had since I was 19 years old! I am.... well I was mobile and mentally sound????.... (WELL I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ASK I GUESS 😁🖕) But anyways I don't have a lot of experience in carpentry but enough to rebuild a gutted old mobile home! I wish my daddy was still alive to teach me more or to tell me I am doing things all wrong!! Lol !! But unfortunately my mobile home is just 200 feet (or it at least seems like it! Cause my mobile home shakes as the semi's drive by) off the main highway in a small little town (which is still too big for this counrty girl! ) and I have the wishes to at least build me a she shed or a hideaway place out in the country! I do have access to pallets and possibly a location outside of town! Sooooooo from the bottom of my heart thank you! Thank God for you and thank God for guiding me to your channel and build today! I was working on a mobile tiny house until.... well I don't like to lie so straight up I did some time and needless to say I haven't went back to working on that due to some post traumatic stress syndrome! However hopefully someday I will be able to return to that project but honestly ain't much left of the actual structure anymore basically just the frame of the trailer! But thank you once again. You inspired me to keep going and dreaming! If I happen to get better medically soon I'd like to try something like this out. I was wondering that if and when I get started and I happen to have a question or 100 would it be ok to contact you through your video or something? If not it's totally ok i would understand no problem! Thanks
@@falconconcepts mine I built when I was 25 and I am 60 now it was on a concrete slab with a sill plate anchored to the concrete it is still going strong but I do have vinyl siding on it now and spray foam and heated so it does look like a normal garage. Thanks for watching! As long as the floor is raised from ground level and the walls are protected from moisture, pallets should last a long time. I like to refer back to old barn wood construction and how long they have lasted. Both old barns and pallets are made from hardwood.
Glad to see someone besides me using pallets. I get mine free from my local lumber yard they have huge piles.
I’m inspired to build a pallet tiny home with support and dry wall

Im thinking on doing this for my home gym over concrete floor.

Its amazing what can be accomplished when people use their ingenuity and think outside the box!
My brother in law built one completely out of pallets and I mean completely like roof and all and it’s been up for 3 years
Nice job setting up the shed. I’m trying to do the same, but not so easy without help or building skills.

Pallets get a bad reputation but if they’re done right, can make a fantastic material!

if thats a 12x12 pad.. you have about 1000$ worth of quikrete bags.. Not sure where in the hell you can make 144 square foot cement 4" pad for 50-100$
As long as you want
I think it will last a long while!

Why would he have to rip it down? The floor will be sturdy..?
Quick question!! how is it holding up?? would like to try this on my own
So far so good! It’s made it through a few strong wind and tornado warnings lol
Oh FYI I messaged before I seen your finish lol
What if i just lay the pallets down directly on the ground and then the plywood? No 2x4 base like in this video.
Very sweet reason
I made a pallet fence and I'm a 73 year old female 😉

Will last for years. Roofs makes the difference
Gracias hermano 👍👍👍.

Yoooo i need pt 2
Coming soon! Just finished filming.
It will last years.
Great idea. I’m concerned that it’s just sitting on dirt. After a few years it will settle and shift.
Thanks for watching! This spring I plan on putting some kind of pad in select points to increase the footprint and decrease ground pressure.
