I love your channel and Your family is so loving and caring and amazing to see on camera. Honestly Caleb is such a teddy bear. Keep doing what you’re doing mama. Hang in there ❤
I appreciate your response and usualky I rarely comment but I see ourselves in what you are about to embark on. We are very simple and live a minimalistic life style. It was a ahock to us as we encountered the same or higher costs on big ticket items like propert tax and home/auto insurance. For food we have tax on top of the high costs as well. I shop Costco and Sams and use Ibotta and Fetch like clockwork. I support you on homeschooling and know that you are established at that. I chose not to teach here because the governor controls what is taught and will fire if deviated...not cool. I hope we can stay in contact as to your future. You are a blessing on your channel and to your wonderful family. Take care!🙋♀️
I appreciate you bringing those things up! But, in Illinois we have all the same high costs and lots of additional taxes! Our realtor has been really great in helping us with the transition! For us, even if those expenses don’t change a ton - that’s okay. What we gain there will still be well worth it! We can’t find land to homestead here!!! 🙁 I so appreciate you being here and caring for us!
I am hopeful that in the time you need that the relator will find you what best suits your family and what Heavenly Father knows is just right fir youall. I also pray that Caleb will be provided the services he needs here to help his future success. I look forward to seeing future updates. Blessings to you!🙂
My husband passed away 5 years ago and I eventually sold our big house to downsize. I still miss my old kitchen so much! I was able to design it and carefully choose every feature.
I feel you there! Have you started speech therapy at all? It’s been a big blessing for us. Plus caleb getting his AAC device is a major help as well. ♥️
I lived in Ok as a child in the 90’s. The kids I knew at school were really nice. I was in middle school. Way different than the kids I went to school with in NM. I lived there for about 6 months and my mom moved us back to NM. We lived in Enid OK. I hope you can find what you are looking for.
We lived in CA our whole life. We moved to OK in 2012. FYI our property tax, home owners insurance and car insurance is higher here and the minimum wage is 7.25. The educational system is horrid and I am a former teacher. As for personal freedom...racism and hate is awful. Sorry!😬
I’d be interested to hear what area you are in. Because our property taxes are almost $5000 a year for not even half an acre here in Illinois. I homeschool - so not concerned about education system. Home owners and car insurance rates are up nationwide - credit and other things affect those prices too. Racism and hate is everywhere, friend. Sin is a real thing.
We moved here in 2012 to get away from the concrete jungle and influx of people. My husband had a successful business and I was a 17 year 1st grade teacher. It took us 10 years to find land which happened during COVID. We purchased the land and built a modest home. The builder was a crook sounding very similar to your situation. We live on the Washington County side and Tulsa County is across from us. Our property tax is 5300. The reason our home and auto which we bundle is high...the weather and uninsured due to extreme poverty in the state. My husband works for a nationwide corporation but the pay here is lower due to the minimum wage being the rate that it is. I was raised to be accepting if all people...unfortunately that is not ideal here. The education, health resources, life longevity, etc is not good. I want you and your 👪 to find joy in life.
Wow. Not sure if we've looked in that area. But we're finding lots of homes with 40 acres and a home on it with property taxes that are under $3,000 a year. I think that there are pros and cons to every state. All states have areas that suffer with lower incomes. I am not concerned with the education options as I will always homeschool ; we also don't have to go to the doctor much. As long as we can find a great speech therapist for Caleb - which there is lots of options ; we will be okay. Life longevity - well, I believe there is a lot of key factors in to that as well! I appreciate you weighing in ; but at the end of the day our desire is for less restrictions and less government interference. Just the ability to live off of our land.
We’re in Oklahoma and Oklahoma has great benefits for 100% P&T veterans . I don’t foresee us ever leaving OK. I disagree that OK has horrible public schools- I have grandchildren in public school and grown children that work in education. It’s not perfect but none of them are. So even though you are homeschooling, Oklahoma schools could be a good option if necessary down the road. Land and house prices have increased here lots in the last few years Cons of Oklahoma are the weather - it’s so hot in the summer and the wind blows a lot. But we also have amazing meteorologists so you can plan ahead of weather issues. Laundry machines outdoors will likely freeze up in the winter. Best wishes to your family - Oklahoma is OK Maybe check out the actual real Pioneer Woman museum in Ponca City, about actual pioneer women who came to Oklahoma when it was new state and started homesteads like your family wants and they did it with determination and hard work.
I like how you say personal freedoms...it doesn't keeps people from getting butt hurt

Arkansas girl! We looked at a house near Mountain View 200k 18 acres and a huge house! Awesome homeschool laws and a wonderful homestead community!
Arksanas checked all but one of our things on our list! 🥲
Are you leaving family behind in Illinois? Like parents and siblings.
Yes - mom & brother live in Illinois. My Dad isn’t. My hope is when my mom retires she’d come out on the land with us
We have been going through a lot of speech difficulties with our middle child it’s hard bc they can’t talk
I feel you there! Have you started speech therapy at all? It’s been a big blessing for us. Plus caleb getting his AAC device is a major help as well. ♥️

@@FromHisBountifulBlessings also we love Alaska but there is not a lot of speech people up here and there is always a long waitlist

Also my husband is in a trade that doesn’t pay minimum wage. ♥️
