NIcholas II was forced to abdicate in early 1917. The Bolshevik revolution occurred later that year. In between there was a Provisional government. He had been advised in January 1917 to send his wife and children to the Crimea for their safety. Tragically he refused and thus sealed their fate. Things did not have to end up the way they did, but with Nicholas at the helm there was no seeing reason. He trapped his family. There was never any possibility of escape once the revolution broke out. Kerensky tried to save them by sending them all to remote Tobolsk to get them the hell away from revolutionary St. Petersburg. That worked for a time, but once the Bolsheviks seized power it was only a matter of time. It is a miracle that they survived so long.

Sorry but your information is false, as The Czar asked his cousin king George of England to accept the family as political refugee in England and king George refused because of the uproar from the labor party. Before writing laughable foolishness and present them as facts go learn first. What a shame. Rest in peace Czar Nicholas II, Czarina Alexandra, Grandduchesses Olga, Maria, Tatiana, Anastasia and crown prince Alexei in Paradise with Our Lord and God Jesus Christ whom you worshipped, loved and served all your lives. In The Name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit The Only One True God as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end Amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Yurovsky's eldest son Alexander, a Rear Admiral in the Soviet Navy, was arrested in 1952, but was released a year later after Stalin's death. He said that his father regretted his role in the execution of the Romanovs. But in my opinion, you must be somewhat psychopathic to do what he did. I don't buy it.

This family was responsible for a truly brutal reign of terror when this took place. Countless murders, regular torture, living wonderfully in their palace overseeing a nation with the average citizen living in unbelievable poverty and deprivation. I'm not saying this to excuse the murders of the children but this wasn't some mass psychosis event, and the decision to execute this family didn't come out of madness alone.

Much written about them in English is inaccurate and full of misinformation, but there are a few good Anglophone scholars on the Romanovs who know what they’re talking about; Paul Gilbert and Dr. Matthew Raphael Johnson are the two best English language sources that I’ve come across.
The murder of Saint Tsar-Martyr Nicholas the Passion-Bearer and the royal family was more than mere political assassination, it was ritual murder. This claim has been reinvestigated by the Russian Federation’s Investigative Committee, along with the blessing and assistance of the Russian Orthodox Church. Evidence proving this insidious crime was compiled by several key investigators shortly after the murders; British journalist Robert Wilton, along with special investigator Nikolai Sokolov and many others all came to the conclusion that it was indeed a ritual talmudic killing. The committee today has reopened the case to further confirm this as well as to gather more information.

Nobody can argue the brutality of these murders, yes cold and calculated. But in fareness to history there is to this day no concrete evidence that Lenin sanctioned nor was aware of the executions. Many believe he informally sanctioned the Tsars execution but may not have been aware of the families. Unfortunately we will never know, but the evidence to date is circumstantial at best. Lenin was a Ruthless Historical figure but all of policies had pragmatic reasoning and nobody could ever theorize what the vanguard would have gained by the family murders.

"You must understand. The leading Bolsheviks who took over Russia were not Russians. They hated Russians. They hated Christians. Driven by ethnic hatred they tortured and slaughtered millions of Russians without a shred of human remorse.
The October Revolution was not what you call in America the 'Russian Revolution.' It was an invasion and conquest over the Russian people. More of my countrymen suffered horrific crimes at their bloodstained hands than any people or nation ever suffered in the entirety of human history.
It cannot be overstated. Bolshevism committed the greatest human slaughter of all time. The fact that most of the world is ignorant and uncaring about this enormous crime is proof that the global media is in the hands of the perpetrators."
