- One of the most famous German Bratwurst is the Nuremberg Grilled Sausages or originally called Nuremberg Rostbratwurst, which we want to introduce to you in this „German Street Food at the most famous Christmas Market“ Episode. The Handmade Nuremberg Grilled Sausages are probably the smallest Bratwurst in Germany. According to the Bavarian Purity Law, the grilled Sausages consists of Raw, Minced Pork to which Salt, Pepper and, above all, Marjoram are added. It was invented by a Butcher from Nuremberg in Upper Franconia (South Germany, Bavaria) in the Year 1573.
Peter Lössel's Original Nuremberg Rostbratwurst, made in-house, with no additives, no preservatives and no flavor enhancers, has been available at Germany's most famous Christmas market for over 50 Years. An absolute must in Nuremberg - Lössel's Number One Nuremberg Rostbratwurst.

My dad was a us soldier stationed in germany in the 90s and the Nuremberg Christmas market is what I miss most about my childhood. Hopefully one day I will be able to return. That and the "fest" season with all the rides and food. I was blessed to be able to grow up in germany as a young child.
I was stationed in Nuremberg. A beautiful country. Especially at Christmas time. I miss those sausages and those buns. The food there is fantastic. They also have this wine that they warm up. It's great. I want to got back to visit.

The best Christmas markets are actually all around Nuremberg in smaller towns.
i have made my own sausages here in the states, and for that guy to be making that many in that variety, is astounding. he is absolutely not kidding about that being a TON of labor. god bless that guy. Im sure you could taste the quality, just as im sure they were in fact high quality from sight alone lol.

Wow. I have not seen such foods since I was a child, my grandparents would visit markets in Chicago to gather such foods (if they could find them or make them from scratch).
It actually brought two things to me;
1) tears of happiness over the memories;
2) the fact that should I ever get to that market, I would explode.

Berlin is always worth a trip😋👌 However, these Nuremberg Sausages are not available freshly in Berlin. This is in Nuremberg, Bavaria (Southern Germany). But there is Curry Baude or Choriman in Berlin and some other locations where there are lots of good handmade Bratwurst. We will certainly present some of them on our Channel next year. i do elk and mule deer wild and ive cut various parts of pigs and every once in a while a whole one. included in that have been various sausages roughly similar to a white sausage type affair more or less. not really the same but generally the same spirit. this man is being modest and humble. the amount of labor that goes into doing them so perfectly close to identical is alot. my hats truly off to that guy. bravo sir, way to keep the old ways alive.

There is something wonderfully pleasing about the german language. I'm not sure what it is but I find it fascinating to hear. Plus german beer is excellent and currywurst are to die for. Proper wurst are amazingly tasty and I am now very very hungry. Thank you so much for wetting our appetites, I am going to have to holiday there one day.

It is interesting to see the corn on the cobs. My dad was U.S. Air Force and we lived in Germany in the early 70's in a small village 25k away from the base. There was a corn field close to our house, so my parents asked to buy some ears. The locals thought that was odd and hilarious, but they gave us some. My mom boiled that corn for more than an hour but it was still tough as pebbles. It was for feeding the cows and pigs. They thought the entire idea of people eating yellow corn was just odd. It may have been different in the cities. I don't remember.
Corn meal is ground from that same corn. Also, for a few days before it begins to harden, field corn can be eaten just like sweet corn.

Ich begreife bis heute nicht, was die Menschen daran so geil finden, bei miesem, nasskalten Wetter mit dem Regenschirm über nen Weihnachtsmarkt zu latschen und dort überteuertes Essen und Glühwein zu konsumieren. Es ist mir ein absolutes Rätsel. Und gleichzeitig rumjammern, dass die Lebenshaltungskosten ja sooooo hoch sind und man sich Heizen kaum noch leisten kann usw. usf.
Aber Hauptsache ne überteuerte Bratwurst im Brötchen für 4€+ darf es sein.
4,50€ für ein Brötchen mit 3 Mini Würstchen, was sind das für Preise 🤔, ja es ist und wird alles Teurer, aber das ist nicht Normal
Leider eine traurige Normalität geworden
4,50€ find ich ja mittlerweile fast noch fair … war letzte Woche aufm Weihnachtsmarkt und da sollte das nackensteak im Brötchen 7€ kosten …. Da hab ich dann doch lieber die Bratwurst für 4,50€ genommen und mit meinem 5€ Bier runtergespült … naja , vielen Dank an unsere Politik …

Die haben mich auch geschockt ,lebe seit 35 Jahren in Indochina, so ein Wurstbroetchen kostet soviel wie ein normaler Arbeiter in 4 Stunden verdient....ich erinnere mich noch grosse Bratwurst mit Broetchen ,.1.60 DM nicht Euro.....ich mache meine Wuerstchen selber 1 Kilo Endpreis 2,50 Euro....

was mir am besten gefällt: semmeln ohne handschuhe anfassen, die wurscht rein (vielleicht noch händisch knicken), die zwiebelpampe dann auch noch mit den ungewaschenen drecksbatzn hinterherschieben, um dann das erwünschte cash mit den schmierigen griffeln abzugreifen. und auf an den nächsten kunden.
Content is great, however the camera person, PLEASE ZOOM OUT... Focus on food is good but to be able to see minor imperfections is a bit much!

In this video I know that in the United States we call it sausage but you have different types of sausages and I like sausages different types with different names and I know where to buy them and they are not expensive about 5.00 for 4 not bad and many of these places are European types places and I am stationed in GERMANY and I know how to make them but I rather not just buy them and I will make potato salad sauerkraut with either American French or German mustard on a piece of bread or hero with probably a soup and something to drink will hold me for a couple of hours depending what I want to eat but it's a good meal as I enjoy to eat different things and I have slightly changed my diet to include more fruits and vegetables as I cook for myself and cut the costs as all of my children are grown and it's just me and my cat nice life and very quiet no sounds

Könnte ich jedes Mal explodieren - die 1/2 Meter wurde mal für 4,50 EUR verkauft - 8,00 EUR ist unverschämt, 6,00 EUR für einen Bremsklotz im Brötchen gequetscht - sorry - ich liebe Steetfood, aber da gehe ich nicht mit. Es ist maßlos unverschämt. Habe selbst über 10 Jahre einen Stand auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt betrieben, ich kenne die Umsätze - und daher sind die Preise extrem unverschämt.

Aber wir wurden ja gar nicht gefragt ob wir überhaupt den Euro wollen...es wurde einfach beschlossen...und der dumme ist wie immer der Otto Normalverbraucher...ich war schon lange nicht mehr auf den Weihnachtsmarkt..es macht kein Spaß mehr! Dann brutzel ich mir meine Würste lieber selber Zuhause ..kostet noch nichtmal die Hälfte..und so nen Brötchen kostet keine 2 € 😵💫
