The WMSU Jambangan Cultural Dance Troupe from Zamboanga City, PHILIPPINES has presented this dance entitled "NGEDEK "(Bangku & Platu) from the Yakans of Basilan not only in the country but also in BIMP-EAGA region.

This dance is the 'Ansak Ngeddek performed by the Yakan people of Basilan during the wedding ceremonies of their wealthy ones. Here they used plates and bangku.

..That is the Yakan Native Dance they always perform during the Lami-Lamihan @ Lamitan City, (Lami-Lamihan - means celebration of harvesting rice).. that is my tribes..

Cool! Best Yakan dance I've seen yet! Isn't this the Yakan version of the Tausug Mangalay? I want GMA to make this the new Philippine National Dance (LOL): everyone can do the Tinikling, but this? WOAH!! :D

I like the Yakan costume. This is musch different than the fake costume Bayanihan dancers are wearing.
