Scottish person here - standard joke is that we get all four seasons in one day so my best tip to to layer and be prepared to un-layer too! I always have a tote bag with me with a jumper and/or umbrella/raincoat in preparation. Also comes in handy when it gets a little warmer and you want to take off a heavier jumper. And comfortable shoes as Edinburgh is hilly! Have the best time!
I loved the green collared shirt! Some travel tips: remember to leave room in your suitcase for souvenirs/gifts! pack a re-usable bag. ALWAYS carry cash.
I studied abroad in Scotland with a program where students from all different Wisconsin colleges stayed at a Duke's estate outside of Edinburgh for the semester. One of my friends bought a gorgeous blue sweater with a hood while we lived there because she hadn't brought one with her, and she STILL wears it, years and years later! I would say buy at least one piece of high quality clothing there based on the weather they're having! That way you get a souvenir AND a functional piece with a story!
That’s sounds like such an incredible experience and it would also be an amazing foundation for a dark/Light academia movie! Thank you for this idea! I’ve been thinking a lot about what kind of souvenir I wanted to bring back and I love this suggestion!
Ugh so excited for you! I've always wanted to go to Scotland. My number 1 tip for international trips is to hydrate SO much before and during the flight. 👌

If you want to wear heels, block heels are good when walking on cobblestones!
