Got my heart broken at 19 on Valentine’s, walked back to my dorm room at night on autopilot, then turned on a sad song and cried for like 2 hours. This is classic young love ending. When I broke up with my first gf at age 16. I cried. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t eat, watch,do or listen to anything coz everything reminded me of her. At 16 I had no idea how to deal with the feelings of sadness and rejection. When I broke up with my first gf at age 16.
I cried.
I couldn’t eat.
I couldn’t sleep.
I couldn’t eat, watch,do or listen to anything coz everything reminded me of her.
At 16 I had no idea how to deal with the feelings of sadness and rejection.

Advice to anyone going through a break up that may read this comment.
It definitely feels like the world is ending. It feels like “how could I ever love someone else?” It’s ok to feel this.
But when people say, time heals, it’s really the truth. It definitely won’t sound helpful to you right then and there, but you’ll look back in a week, a month, a year, maybe even 10 years etc and you will understand. You may even look back in like 50 years when talking to your significant other to whom you’ve been in a relationship with for many decades. You may even look back and laugh or be completely embarrassed about how the break up happened. I know I have.
But time heals. Seriously.
I’ve been through 3 savage break ups hurt me bad. I’ve learned from every one of them.
It gets better.
You just gotta bite down and move forward embrace the feelings you’re going to feel but knowing that it does get better.
