im switching from tmobile to verizon in december and i really like the big battery life but i want to have the nice features that some of the smart phones have now. is this still going to be new spec and screen wise?
I really love my RAZR MAXX BUT ever since they force pushed Ice Cream Sandwich (the newer Android Operating System) as an update, the phone has troubles. The network drops flat, while GPS takes forever to lock onto satellites. These were not problems with the previous operating system. This is even after a factory reset. I can't comment on phones shipped with ICS, as I got mine right when they came out, with Gingerbread.
Wow I might just get this. This is certainly on my list but I wont upgrade till april hopefully. There most likely be more newer phones out though so I will see by then

I have the Droid Razr Maxx :) I'm super pleased with it too. It's realllyyy fast. Not hard to understand because when you first get it, you have an option when programming it in the beginning. Take the tour, or not. I recommend to take the tour. It's fun and will help you understand your phone very quickly.
around 7:30ish he talks about there not being shortcuts in the notification pull down down menu.. can they be added like through the android market or some other way.. they did seem really helpful idk why they would've tooken em away.. but anybody please lemme know
@xenocider64 No but you just might drop your phone. The Kevlar will help protect from other cosmetic damage such as dents, scratches and so forth that can make a beautiful phone turn ugly very fast.

I'm surprised the flimsy power/ lock button is not mentioned? My self get around 10-12 hours with heavy use. Unable to kill the battery?....come on now
Regarding the gallery: I had just picked up the my RAZR MAXX today, already knowing about the faults with the horrible gallery. Downloaded QuickPic; way better! Let me know if there are any other gallery apps I should maybe look into.
Great phone, though I don't like how it's as wide as the Galaxy Nexus but with a much smaller screen. Also though Motorola's Applications Platform is the best looking out of all the UI's in my opinion I hate Gingerbread compared to ICS so I wish it had ICS.

Aaron, there is crappy cell service in ALL of UNC Charlotte! It does not matter if its T-mobile or Verizon. I think they should build a cell tower in the middle of campus!

Hey Aaron, you didnt even need to complete this review after saying "This really is not different from the original maxx". Because you hit it on the nail, nothing is new about it. It's battery was increased by 200. They are charging 300$ for a not new phone.......
This is a great phone but because the battery is not removable that is a deal breaker for me I'll go with the samsung galaxy s2 with a 3900 milli amp hour battery by mugen (or mugan sorry I cannot spell) power.

Specs dont always matter that much unless its an enormous jump like a single core to a quad. I would suggest going with what fits in your lifestyle.
do you know the release date? as far as i know, such a thing if it even exists is specific to china only. no guarantee yet it is coming to the states.
