As a drummer trying to learn banjo I can testify this is an excellent breakdown of counting, tempo and time signature. Also check out Eli's 30 days of banjo. Proudly playing day 8 at tempo.

I am stuck. I meant to say picking the 4th string 4 or 5 times before a banjo roll is played. What is the purpose for picking the 4th string with the phone pick four or five times before playing a banjo roll at the beginning of the song Why are you so damn hung up on that fourth-string cleaning where I told you the computer told the words wrong Bridget about string cleaning IT WAS A MISTAKE FORGET ABOUT IT
That was worded wrong by the computer on my phone I have noticed that some banjo players when they're playing the song on the Banjo that they are picking the 4th string 3 x 4 x or even five times in a row with the phone pick one playing the song and there is no banjo rolls that require that. And that is what I am stuck on. Hopefully maybe you could give me a phone call I can give you my phone number so we can have a discussion about this over the phone maybe I can better understand it. It can definitely sound good, and nice to listen to, but it's very unlikely you could match the quality of a professional instrument. I haven't heard it done but I won't say it's impossible!

It still blows my mind how 12 simple notes can be so complicated.
