Someone asked me once, " what happened to great bands like Pantera and such"...🤷 Assuming he meant a heavier metal with amazing guitar sections and tight drums, and aggressive vocals, but still understandable ....this band I would put up there . They're indeed like an edgier version of Pantera.
i first seen this band on the local stage at warped tour in ny back in the day at randalls island the last time i seen them was at the downtown in farmingdale (throwback) it was otep sworn enemy and hemlock lol
Definitely sounds more metal than hardcore compared to their earlier stuff...interesting considering the vocalist was more into hardcore and street than actual metal considering some of his interviews in the past... This even sounds kinda thrash!
The way I discovered this band is kind of a funny story. So apparently their current drummer (not the one on this song) is the son of one of my mom's childhood neighbors who I met at my Grandfather's funeral this summer. I could have gotten some of their music free but she couldn't find any in the house.
just listen to the music man... if metal touches you, makes you feel alive, go with it. hardcore does it for you, listen to it. fuck, even if the bullshit my chemical romance got me pumping I'd listen to that. you listen to music, not a genre. dont worry about what its labeled, you just gotta enjoy it.
You cant place Sworn enemy under a christian or non christian "LABEL" your right God is part of the whole hardcore scene . Im sure the pope and people from church can somehow relate to the words of this song at some point in their life
I listen to Hatebreed and Full blown chaos I'm more of a death metal screaming person music but when I listened to this band there fucking awesome!!!!!!
nyone here check out Sirius Satellite Radio with Jose Mangin....it's metal all badass!! Feel free to join our Jose Mangin fanspace that currently uses the Official Jose Mangin Kyte Channel containing exclusive content from JOSE HIMSELF. There are tons of badass shows on there featuring Jose wherever he goes
damn why does everybody call this hardcore my favorite riff so far has to be 1:17 that's fucking death metal im lovin it damn never got into this band those vocals are somethin else meng, lol
This kinda reminds me of Heaven Shall Burn and Demon Hunter, in the way that it's professionally recorded and very clean-sounding, rather than something like A Black Rose Burial, who obviously had subpar equipment. They still rock, though.
these guys are really badass but i bought there new cd and was a lil dissapointed everysong sounds so much the same but theys guys got so much potential same with fall of serenity
your opinion is your opinion.... and redundancy is redundant.... people need to realise when someone says "metal sucks" it's just that persons opinion... and doesn't really matter at all lol
(first sorry for my english) they are so religious guys. If you buy the CD you can see that they say first thanx to GOD. In the majority of their lyrics they talk about "god saves me" "rosary" "help me, save me"... and the last one.. the drummer is like a tattoed Jesus.. ;) im atheist but i love them.. well, exept the last album.. (where is this song) coz is not hXc..
@mayhemdakid Hardcore is actually for queefs who prefer yelled vocals (no talent) Rather than stressed Screams. Hardcore is a modern, generic version of punk. And punk sucked back when it was cool, and it still does. And what you listen to doesnt decipher who you are. Music is music. Whether you like it or not.
@nulebon Except when it's not metal, it's not metal. Like this band. There's no problem with that, it's just not actaully metal. PEople seem to commonly mistake just about anything for metal music these days.
i would have to say Howie from Killswitch does a better job in screaming. Devildriver and Parkway Drive do better as well. I will admit this guys voice is pretty damn good.
Music is about meaning, yes, but at its core it's all about the sound of it and how it makes you feel. So if the sound appeals to you and it's fucking Britney Spears, I say listen to it and fuck the motherfuckers who make fun of you for it. They're the ones listening to rap to try and be cool, rather than listening to what they like. Fuck the crowd. Let it devour itself. STEP TO THE SIDE OF THE FAN!!!
This song aged extremely well. Still so fresh.
Someone asked me once, " what happened to great bands like Pantera and such"...🤷
Assuming he meant a heavier metal with amazing guitar sections and tight drums, and aggressive vocals, but still understandable ....this band I would put up there . They're indeed like an edgier version of Pantera.

and that one guy who keeps poping up with the glasses reminds me of the guy from half-life lol
Such a good riff at 1:17.
Badass
Now this is good metalcore.

This kinda reminds me of Heaven Shall Burn and Demon Hunter, in the way that it's professionally recorded and very clean-sounding, rather than something like A Black Rose Burial, who obviously had subpar equipment. They still rock, though.

@nulebon Amen brother, i'm in the same boat with you, metal is metal, fuck all the labels
@borysczad1125 Rozpierdala \m/
because as i lay dying sucks fucking hard, and all the songs have the same breakdown, that simple
@GDwerg Because stressed vocals actually take talent. Not just yelling/shouting.
And In my opinion, it sounds better.
NYHC 4 LIFE
If Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed was on vocals, this could be the greatest hardcore / metal band of all time...
Lococo is much more better than Jasta imho
very all out warish..
these guys are really badass but i bought there new cd and was a lil dissapointed everysong sounds so much the same but theys guys got so much potential same with fall of serenity
u think they're on the kids side or the fathers?
your opinion is your opinion....
and redundancy is redundant....
people need to realise when someone says "metal sucks" it's just that persons opinion... and doesn't really matter at all lol

(first sorry for my english)
they are so religious guys. If you buy the CD you can see that they say first thanx to GOD.

The best drummer for Sworn Enemy was Paulie!!!!
@mayhemdakid
Hardcore is actually for queefs who prefer yelled vocals (no talent) Rather than stressed Screams. Hardcore is a modern, generic version of punk. And punk sucked back when it was cool, and it still does. And what you listen to doesnt decipher who you are. Music is music. Whether you like it or not.
ok... so what ar you doing here then?
I would then enjoy visiting my Psychiatrist :)
@nulebon Except when it's not metal, it's not metal. Like this band. There's no problem with that, it's just not actaully metal. PEople seem to commonly mistake just about anything for metal music these days.
the drummer looks like max from krisiun in the beginning lol, but it stops there.
i would have to say Howie from Killswitch does a better job in screaming. Devildriver and Parkway Drive do better as well. I will admit this guys voice is pretty damn good.
kakav nadrk...
