@@andresduplex1152 matched with DB meter in room... phone doesnt always portray it very well based on the amps freq response... i feel the marshall stuff comes off worse in the phone recordings... proper miced comparisons will be coming soon once i get around to it
The Mesa is too compressed for my taste. Jason really opened up my eyes (and ears) to the fact that the old Marshall’s have the best tone you can possibly want. A bit more gain or not, still they sound great.
Thats a tough question... in most of the clips ive done yes i think the jp2c i think sounds the best... but the actual in room sound and "experience" my SRGX 60 watt C+ just edges out the jp2c for the win... youtube and the phone recording dont present the high mids well or the depth the older marks have... the phone recording loves the high end content and the freq position of the low end bump in the jp2c and presents it quite accurately... older marks and marshall type amps dont get presented as accurately and tend to sound less tight and aggressive when really its not always the case
Definitely can be a frustrating thing with clips. When I tried a JP2C and a VII, there’s just a slight harshness to the sound that I don’t get with older MK’s. I had a Quad Pre that would rip and be warm/smooth at the same time. It was quite something the way it saturated.
Damn that Headfirst sounds KILLER!! Fantastic!
Boogie sounds compressed and tight, kind of "nice" sounding. The Marshall is hairy, loud and glorious for rock/metal.
That Marshall is really good. Nice to hear a mod from Jason that is more metal orientated vs. Hard rock.
As metal as it gets... look at his Evil Joe amp... its off the charts
Apples to Oranges
Love that guitar, it looks like the evil twin of James Hetfield's white explorer
Ohh no the plexi is a beast... its a keeper... completely diff tones
like the jp2c better
I guess to proceed with comparison you should have the same volume/level for both amps

Cool! Keep it going and don’t hesitate to say “f.uck off” to kemper adepts requests 🤘

No contest that JP2C is one bad piece that would have me shipping the vortex lol.
Jp2ç is Metallica in a box...but that modded Plexi slays!
Is the JP2C your fav Mark amp?

@@MarshallSLX yeah I had an OG 1984 SRGX which sounded amazing / sometimes I preferred it to my HRGX
