Julie London and her music is beyond anything I've ever known or heard - I love the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Carmen McRae..but Julie London's voice and style is so unique, so subtle, so crafted - majestic, in a word. What she expresses in "Cry Me a River" here goes well beyond any other singer I've ever heard. Her facial expressions and nuances, but even more striking, the subtleties of her voice make the meaning of the song come through with crystal clarity. She had and has no peers.
