I had the privilege to ride in a pristine P1800 ES in 1985 in Miami. My wife had gone for our honeymoon from Iowa. Met some family friends who's whole family all drove 60's and 70's era Volvo's. I've loved this car since then...
The P1800 is the fastback with boot. The 1800ES is the estate. I had a blue 1800ES L reg and was Gorgeous.. Best car I ever owned.. My wife looked stunning driving it..
I am in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. and have just been made aware of a 1973 P1800ES with 18,000 miles. Have yet to see it but it will be a most interesting visit. The late owner is said to be an eccentric hoarder from a prominent family.
the mirrors out on the fenders is totally useless and stupid. You can't see anything because the mirror is too far away. Beautiful car though. I have a 74 1800ES myself in burgundy
@@michaelkelly3221 you're right! I have a 72 ES in Sapphire blue, automatic, power steering, a/c, new radio, leather wood dashboard and steering wheel. The works!

This one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Automatic transmission is also rare. Thanks for a great professional video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
And slooow😁
I always love your videos. They are of high quality, the same as the magnificent cars you have in stock.
Thank you very much! Very kind comment.
Had a 1973 in pearl white with baby blue interior. Had the automatic transmission with overdrive. Rue the day I sold it.
Very pretty car

I have one for sale if anybody is interested. It's definitely a project car but still awesome
Someone's new restoration project. They are an unusual and pleasing estate.

I find them more useful on the door frames. Much nearer
They made a mistake😅
The steeringwheel is on the wrong side😂
How do you spell SLOOOOOOOW🤣P1800es with automatic
Actually, for a '70s auto it performs quite well. Low geared though.
@@Classicandsportscar1 standard trans 0-60 9.5 seconds. Auto 14.0 0-60😆
But...unusable really.
Weekends, summer, shows and rallies, fair weather, special occasions. That's the typical use for a classic
