You keep putting out amazing videos; I have watched a few vocoder videos on logic before, but I already know this is going to be the best one! Excited to see what I can learn here!! 😊
Wow another great video! Thanks! I’ve been in logic from the very beginning (even before when it was Notator on Atari : ) Who knew that this little synth could do this! 😀👍
how did you create the Aux track for the mic? and also do you need to plug your mic into an interface to do this? couldn't get it to work plugging mic directly into computer.
You can use literally any instrument you have and use the audio fx plugin “Track Oscillator” (EVOC 20 Track Oscillator) as a vocoder. Go to audio fx, then to Filter, then to EVOC 20 Track Oscillator. Change “Analysis In” (it’s on the left side) from “Track” to “Sidechain”. Change Side Chain (it’s on the upper right side) to: Input 1 (microphone) Raise Signal up to about to 2/3 maximum To Record and playback: Create Audio track (Audio 1) Mute track Record with Input 1 to monitor To playback: Change Side Chain to Audio 1
Damn, they really didn’t update the look of these plugins with Logic 11? Do they realize it’s a competitive market? Haven’t bought logic 11 yet, my old Mac won’t run it lol
@@chrisketchum6595no that’s not what I’m saying, I mean you don’t hear much about vocoder specifically in the general sense when you look at the market of plugins so it’s not something that’s really a lucrative thing to invest much in at the current season

Reminds me of the band Air
Mister Blue Sky!
Sorry bro I'm a drummer lol
Are you just holding down a midi key and making the pattern with your mouth or is your hands following your mouth?
Mouth is producing the rhythm, I'm just holding down a few chords.
the best teacher in the game ... thanks for this 🫡

Not that competitive if they’re not focused on updating or changing anything about it
@@djeson214 you don’t think the market for plug-ins is competitive? ok.
