Once again thank u Hadar. You were able to link a social issue we are living now with a vocabulary lesson as well as how non native english speakers are discriminated. Yesterday, I was unable to sleep watching the riots and protests in the US. While watching I couldn’t stop thinking about what the future holds for the human race as a global society. In Mexico, of course there s racism and it s called “ clasismo” which is a social class discrimination. The poorer you are the more discraminated you become. Indigenous people are also discriminated just because they are so distintif because of her culture, language an apparence. Black lives matter, Indiginous lives matters, all people s lives matters, mine and yours included. Tomorrow there s a speaking club in the influence community about migration to the us. Cant wait to use some of the vocabulary you taught us and see if we can discuss about the recent events in the us. See you around. Love, Alexia.
Thanks Hadar, I appreciate your sensitivity so much❤ I'm Italian, and I know some have prejudices against my country... Everybody can be a victim of discrimination, and I believe it's because of ignorance and frustration - which is a plague to fight
I am simply amazed by your way of teaching English fluency... honesty, integrity &authenticity with profound thoughts... We are blessed to have a teacher like you... Thanks a lot🙏💕
Thank you Hadar 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You are totally right, It doesn’t matter what language do you speak being silent make us part of the problem rather than the solution.
Racism and discrimination, it is up to all of us ... in Chile it is the people of indigenous peoples who suffer the most. Thanks for your video, greetings from Chile. Take good care of yourself, let's be fair and live in peace.
It has been a priviledge to have met you. You have given me confdence to teach English as a non native teacher of this language. I love you for being the way you are Hadar. Thank you. The world is a better place because you are in here.
Thank you so much, Teacher!! As a English student I’ve struggled the native speaker complex! Your videos always helped me a lot! Now I’m more relax about it! God bless you! ♥️🙏🏽
Thank you so much for bringing up such an important topic. I live in Russia and this country has a multitude of internal issues that need to be addressed. Speaking about racism, it manifests itself in racist jokes (for example, infamous jokes about Chukchi people (an indigenous people) that have connotations of stupidity and unintelligence, and "chukchi man" is a synonym to "dumbass" in Russian). Also, immigrants from Central Asia face prejudices on a daily basis. There is a particular anti-blackness in Russia, Russian people are generally ignorant about it and use slurs and inappropriate words (Russian variations of n-word) when speaking about black people, even when they mean no ill. Russia is full of racists, homophobes, transphobes, sexists, ableists, fatphobes. Also victim blaming and slut-shaming are very common here. And our moronic government just cultivates ignorance and hatred. The media and federal tv channels are clogged with propaganda. However, I'm glad that activism is becoming more and more popular and many young people start to speak up and fight for what's right.
Thanks Hadar! I really like the way you can present important topics. If there were more people like you, living would be a lot easier. In my opinion, one of the most important reasons for the spread of intolerance and injustice is the activity of mass and social media. There have never been so many lies and selective censorship. This is very clearly visible from Poland.
In my community we are dealing with racism as well as other communities. The problem is with a particular nationality "Haitians" though. It is not by the skin color, it arises from a historical events from years ago. Yep, you can see around some acts of discrimination. However, there isn't bias in favor of my communite. As a person from abroad you have the same opportunities "study, work, hospital and everything in between" that the others have. Thanks Hadar. The vocabulary you just taught us is very helpful.
Some teacher's message enforce prejudice and people can internalize the stigma about their own accents to the point where they hate the way they speak. Thanks for your words. Love you, Hadar!
I couldn't be more thankful for this video. How amazing lesson, and I totally agree when you say that when we're are silent, we become part of the problem as well. 👏🏻👏🏽👏🏿
Hello Miss Hadar. I'm from Venezuela, here we almost don't suffer from any kind of racism, a mean, there is a lot of diversity, and we don't really care about it because we are humans so? Why should difference such as accent, your look, the color of your skin, etc, matter? But there is discrimination in other aspects, polities for example which it's the biggest problem in the country. Anyway, hopefully humanity sooner than later will improve their mentally and most of these prejudices will be a thing of the past. Last but not less important, thank you for the video! It was very interesting. God bless you, hope you have a fantastic day =)
Hello Hadar. This topic is urgent. Thank you so much for this video!! About diversity among TH-cam’s English teachers and this whole Lucy controversy, I believe the system we live in is to blame. Most of us are unaware of our own implicit bias when it comes to language and accent (I believe that Lucy was not aware of her own implicit bias and she did apologized for it). Thank you so much for spreading the right message when it comes to English learning!! I really admire you!
I came for English vocabulary and what I got was a life lesson. When you brought up the subject about the lack of diversity among English teachers, I really felt that closely. One of my goals is to teach English but I often feel discouraged because people would think I'm not good just because I'm not a native speaker. I started following you for a few weeks now but I can tell you that you're a role model for me haha. Not only because you're an amazing English teacher but also because you know the struggles that language learners face and you teach based on that. Thanks! ♥
What an amazing video! I really loved your thoughts. That's right racism and prejudice are everywhere. Sometimes it's subtle but it's still there. Sadly, most time we just sweep it under the rug.
Hello my teacher ! I feel comfortable to listen to you ,because you are amazing, talented, great ,you are my life ,when i attend you all my stress goes away !!
Thanks Hadar for this lesson about social justice and social equiality. I abhor the reality that some would deny others respect and the most basic of freedoms because of the color of his or her skin. I am also saddened when these assaults on human dignity lead to escalating violence and unrest.”
Mam thanku so much for make such a good video's for us. Mam i want to request to make video on " how to improve english writing skills " ( academic ) as well as all types of English writing. Specially when someone is preparing for some exam.
I've heard that people who practice racism are not ignorants. In Brazil, two centuries ago there was a tentative of bleaching the population bringing europenas to work here. They are not ignorants, they know they are doing. There is a incompreensive hate, but not ignorant.
Hi Hadar you know that you are very important to us who want to learn English thanks a bunch Have a great Wednesday my dear teacher 😉🇧🇷 stay home and healthy
Hadar, U know I appreciate your great job and I understand it is your job and love, and behind your tremendous English there are colossal efforts and hard working times. But, please don't divinify accent so much because it is not apotheosis. I wanna emphasize that most of people think that the accent is the highest point in the development of language and they percept it as culmination. English is a global language and there are thousand of intellectual scientist, teachers, linguists etc and million of intellectual people who know English much better than most of English native speakers, but still they have their own accent when they speak English. But still they are so intelligent and so knowledgeable people. I spent 29 years of my life on Linguistic and languages. I have been more than 60 countries and did lots of social experiments related to language learning approach. As a result I witnessed that so many obsession about accent has some particular negative effects (like judging accent and highlighting nationality) on many people on their humanity qualities that provocate segregation and discrimination. Unfortunately a lot of famous personalities on the internet thanks to their millions subscribers they experience the unbearable lightness of kindness and humanism. Sadly no one amount subscribers able to estimate their non proficiency and incompetence. As a experienced linguist and language coach I almost more than 25 years I spend energy and time against this awful perception towards accent of other people. Accent in no way is a symptom of education level and knowledgeability. Of course, it is a big deal and really demands hard work, but it is just a pleasure show! Please do not get me wrong! Just warn people about it!! Let me touch one point. İt would be better not making hunting videos on wrong accent of other people. I consider this way doesn't fit your intelligence level. You don't need that kind of ways to look for mistakes in people's accent and then show it to audience for fun or instance. We know you can do better and more ethical ones!

Dear teacher. still i have not seen a specialized English teacher like you. your speech is crystal clear.
I commend you, Hadar, for teaching people to be open-minded, empathetic towards one another and to be more aware of social issues!
