Have you surfed behind a regular ski boat?

Yeah, that's what we first started on. It's a lot harder to get a wake with enough push behind a ski boat - because of how low profile they are, it's less safe to put the amount of weight needed to get a surfable wake. The suction cup/velcro on surf shapers have made it soooooo much better, but surfing is MUCH easier behind a V drive. What kind of boat are you wanting to use?

Hi, great videos! Quick question; I just bought a 2019 23 LSV (I pick it up in 1 week) and am wanting to wake surf. I am a goofy footer and wonder if therre is a difference between the port side wake and the starboard side wake. Thniking about prop rotation. Can you please let me know your thoughts? Many thanks! Chris

Congrats!! On a Malibu, the goofy side tends to be a little better because of the way the prop spins - there's also less pressure on the wheel when driving with a goofy wave than with a regular side wave. You'll love that boat! Super easy to set up for surfing! Have fun!
