honestly my favorite thing about Thresh and what solidified him as one of my main 3 was BECAUSE his lore contradicted his role so hard. Support based characters are so frequently identified by selfless personalities, warm-heartedness, or general upbeat and positive vibes. Thresh is teaming up with you because it's convenient for him. His incentive to support is "if I keep you alive you kill things." Which is just amazing to me. xD

Id argue that Tresh, for his "intended" role of support is the best design in the game, his kit can be both offensive and defensive in all 4 abilites and thats why i love playing him so much

In my headcanon, when Thresh plays Support his carry is actually a soul that he has released from the lantern to fight for him.

Reading Shen's description reminded me of Kled's titles.
What's funny is that Thresh requires quite of skill to learn and play. When I first started to use him, it's because some player literally stomped me to the GROUND with an AD Thresh build and they were just highly unkillable. They were collecting souls like nobodies business.
So I tried him out and found out swiftly how bad you are at a champ that seems strong and fun to play. And after learning him I learned just how useless his W Lantern is. I have never EVER in my fucking LIFE seen SO many players just avoid taking it, only to try and fail a flash then SPAM PING YOU about your lantern... Thresh is fun asf but man... Lantern is the worst ability that people will spam ping you to death "for not using"

It feels underwhelming compared to veigar's basic ability, actually since it does somewhat similar things but is better at it and can be placed not just centered on you. But I would totally say that it's veigar's E that has no business being a basic ability, not Thresh R being too weak
