Hello im out of answers now and you are the only person I trust about the suzuki gaucho. I have spark, i have fuel and i have compression, i did get the bike running for a bit by throwing some gas in the intake and then using starter fluid, but now it wont run, i dont know what could be, the sparkplug, which is new, comes out wet, now it wont start even on starter fluid, its just dead, do you know what could i do or check now? Im out of clues, thank you for your time.
Let's start with the simple things first, since the bike did run. I suspect the plug, or less likely, the ignition system. If the plug is wet it's likely fouled, possibly due to too much choking and the engine is flooded. Pull the plug and leave it out. Kick the bike over five or six times to clear the lower end & cylinder. If you have another known good plug, any plug will do, connect this plug to the lead, ground it against the engine, turn the key on and kick it over to check for spark. If you have spark, then it's likely the original plug you started with is fuel fouled. Replace the temporary test plug with a different proper used good plug or get another NEW one. Don't try cleaning and reusing the plug that's fouled at this point. After installing the second good/new plug, try starting it WITHOUT choking it. See if it pops or even runs... if pops but doesn't start, try a little starter fluid (don't over do it, just a quick shot). If it starts and briefly runs on starting fluid, then you can try using the choke to get it to start. Let me know how it goes...
