There's only 2 kinds of people in the conventions, those that eat 1 sandwitch the whole event, and those that don't stop eating ever XD
LMAOOO I’m definitely the latter 😩😂😂😂
Glad you had a good time in my hometown. RCCC is a blast! Stay Sketchy!
RCC is my local con, I heard that the main cast of Critical Role was there, so all my friends who had D&D or more western comic merch did SUPER well. That being said, they announced those guests way after everyone applied I believe, so they were super lucky it brought a large crowd. I also know it hasn't been that great in the past years since covid, but who knows what it'll be like next year.
I DO want to say that we have a show here in Portland every December called Crafty Wonderland, they also have a spring show hosted by the same people. Your art would absolutely belong amongst that demographic, if that's something that would interest you! Folks often do much of their christmas shopping there.
GREAT video! Very fun!! I also eat that that same Ramen place each time after a con there!! Your art is beautiful and your insight is wonderful!!
Omg hello local friend!! I did hear about the D&D merch doing well- that totally makes sense. That sounds really really intriguing, I’m definitely going to look into that one! December is a crowded month, but it’ll be good to have a list to try. I also was so happy with that ramen place, I had no idea what to expect since we just tried walking in.
I found this video very helpful! especially on picking your battles with the right events- thank you
Definitely! I think it was a fun event, definitely had great interactions with locals, but wasn’t the most lucrative from a print artist’s pov
ahhh your expenses was less than mine T_T! and your friends with jullianne omg.... i love her work so much
I’ve been wondering how much planning there is for food for these cons, do y’all generally scope out any places near the venue, or are there non-negotiable places you want to try while you’re in town?
that's a great question!! we usually scope for any places nearby! Since convention centers are typically downtown in most major cities, it's really easy to yelp up some places and just walk over to grab food while someone's manning the table!
where's the next trip planned for?
