BNN Bloomberg is Canada’s only TV service devoted exclusively to business, finance and the markets.
A professor detached from reality with a secure government job and pension wont have an opinion that matters.
250k threshold is on the personal side.
The very 1st dollar of corp CG is at a higher inclusion rate.
Not exactly fair for the retirement funds in corps
The best way to level the field should be to lower dividends taxes, not take more with capital gain
Once again they are making it sound like small Canadian only pay for capital gains after 250k
Not true. If you have a small corporation at all, even with zero employees & a $5,000 gain you are now being subject to those 67% fees on that pidly $5k gain
To be fair they should have made corporations pay only after the 250k mark as well
You can pay yourself a salary
A fair system, would be tax on the sum of all incomes. No deductions
Nice to see a leftist professor applauding Trudeau. Andrew is the cherry on the cake 😂
Trudeau's team of Liberals and Poilievre's team of Conservatives shoulf be the key speakers at each immediate urgent summit of Chamber of Commerce, Board of Trade, Professional Association and Small Business Council
Why ? Because the actual people being directly impacted by the Capital Gain Taxes Increases want to ask their questions because they need to as soon as possible.
I guess he's a happy camper living in his ivy tower..... Get real!
