Can't thank enough to Matthew for choosing Taylor as our Alex, he's so perfect and talks about this book, this movie and this story and what represents with so much love and care that melts my heart 🥺❤️ we were so lucky to have him to represent this beloved character ✨ and Sarah is exactly the Zahra I imagined when I was reading the book, she totally nailed it! 😍🔥
I could listen to Taylor talk for hours. Absolutely love his vision on life and opportunities. He really knows what's important and he values the right things. Bless his heart ❤️
Forever grateful for the existence and hard work of Taylor Zakhar Perez. He’s out there representing so many of us, and I couldn’t be prouder. His dedication and talent shine so brightly, inspiring countless people every day. I wish him endless success and good health, so he can continue to spread his love and passion for decades to come, creating a legacy that will endure through history. Taylor, thank you for everything you do - you truly make the world a better place ❤🤍💙
What Sarah said about not speaking because it’s your line, but listening, then pausing to have your thought about that line, THEN responding, is not only necessary for actors, but it’s one of the reasons why RW&RB landed so spectacularly. On whatever rewatch, I started noticing how much silent space there was between the actors speaking on screen for the entire movie. I don’t know whether it came from Matthew López’s direction, all the cast, or a collaboration. I don’t know whether there was an actual discussion to leave time and space between actors speaking, or it happened organically because of the skillset of the actors. I know there was a film-length time crunch, López had to fight hard to get a 2 hour film instead of Amazon’s determination this be a 90 minute movie. AFAIK even then López was fighting for it to go over the 2 hours by a few minutes and got a hard no. And yet despite the film length time crunch, all these silent spaces occur over and over and over again on camera. López chose not to tighten up the dialogue speed to get more scenes or lines into the film. And I think it’s one of the reasons why we sink so deeply into the story and performances of RW&RB. So many emotions put outwards by the actors and felt by the audience are magnified, absorbed, lived in these pauses.
These two are really smart actors with true talent, this interview makes me realized how good they both! And what a hell of strong personalities, both of them owned...
Taylor has such a healthy and mature outlook on life and work. Sarah, too. Loved this session, Taylor and Sarah shared such wisdom and encouragement. It’s relatable not only for actors but for anyone, really. Thanks for this!
Loved this interview so much, thank you so much for inviting Taylor Zakhar Perez. He is so well spoken and articulate, such an inspiration. He’s got a such good head over his shoulder, with that mindset I hope he goes a long way and gets to fulfill his dreams. All the best Taylor ❤
I love what Sarah says here: "Listen to what your scene partner ist saying the line before, let it affect you, have the thought as he was saying, and then that is what prompts your line." I have zero talent for acting myself. And I've never read a script before. So I didn't know how detailed they were in terms of what the actors were portraying on screen. Then I read the script for RWRB and I was so surprised at how Nick and Taylor brought the script to life! For example the closet scene. The script contains almost only their lines. But they made so much of it because they do exactly what Sarah says here. They (in and out of character) listened, thought about it and let the words affect them, and only then (often after a pause) said their lines. That's what made the scene so authentic and relatable. One of my favourite scenes in the movie 😍
Amazing interview, very insightful. Hearing their stories. It is not an easy job to have. And hearing more from them about this is great. They are so fun, kind and humble. Amazing people! thank you for the video.
Thank you so much for posting this wonderful interview. Taylor and Sarah were so well-spoken and I could honestly listen to them talk like this for hours. They both did such amazing jobs bringing their respective characters to life, along with the rest of the cast.
After watching the conversation, I appreciate Taylor a million times! All his struggles and the way to fulfill his desire to be an actor. An inspiration to every beginning actor.
I have watched Red White and Royal Blue at least 100 times already and I NEVER tire of it. I am so amazed at how real this movie feels. I have laughed and cried many times. Its a beautiful movie and I cannot wait until the next movie comes out - BUT please can I make a suggestion!! DO NOT make the movie with a theme of Alex and Henry get a divorce or someone dies etc - please give this a wonderful happy ending... In the way things are in the world today, we all need something positive and joyful... jus sayin lol Thank you!!
Taylor really is the perfect Alex. It's obvious how much thought and preparation he put into the role, and it's very meaningful for fans and for lgbt people like myself, especially the bisexual community.
In RWRB, Sarah's scene "breaking into" the hotel room finding the naked first son, and then prior to and after discovering the British prince hidden in the closet, was fascinating to watch. Really appreciate the opportunity here to get a deeper insight into who she is as a person and an actress! She sounds like a fun person to hang around with...
The music in the cake scene shifts from Schubert to Johann Strauss's The Blue Danube, the same music in 2001 when we see the space crafts waltzing in the cosmos. All the music in the movie, both incidental and known pieces, just one more incredible facet, add so much. (Watch the clips of the movie without the music. Like the sort of nervous music for Alex in the Red Room which then swells as he and Henry embrace and start to "go at it.")
Talking with such heart and enthusiasm really proves the point that this film is not just well loved and an instant classic, but that it has struck an emotional, sexual and societal chord and proved such a landmark in LGBTQ+ film making. And therefore should win every award possible it is eligible for - nominated or not. Because what is the film everyone is going to remember from this year, for all the best possible human reasons? RWARB, of course!
Always love hearing from Taylor, I'm so happy for him that his hard work paid off, he deserves his success so much. ❤❤ Hope we see more of him in other roles and I of course can't wait for the RWRB sequel. He's brought up a trilogy before, and I'm like, yes, I'm here for that if everyone else is too. 🙌🙏 It's also cool hearing from Sarah, I've watched her in so much stuff (although not crying and masturbating lol). First time was over 20 years ago in Alias playing Bradley Cooper's girlfriend. I also love Person of Interest and the short-lived NBC series Life, I was so gutted when that was cancelled. So damn good.
I mean, as gorgeous and hot as the sex scenes in RW&RB are, they are no more graphic than a lot of hetero sex scenes I've seen in straight romcoms that have a PG-13 rating - there's not really a reason for RW&RB to not also be rated PG-13, other than homophobia! Then there's the absurdity that a film can show hard violence and get a PG-13 rating more easily than a film showing soft sex - the latter is infinitely more likely to be pleasurable & beneficial to both participants, after all! I think this is was Taylor was refering to: give the damn thing a rating that is actually based in fair & rational evaluation, rather than yesterday's twisted "moral" standarts or sex-negative hysteria. I don't think he meant that he wants to tone it down for the sequel and keep his clothes on more - I mean, would you, if you had a bod as smoking hot as his?
So much information. Such bright people. Somehow, actors get bad press as human beings. I wanted to see more on Sarah. She just exploded in every scene she was in. I think more and more about the greatest lime from RWRB. Alex says to Henry, "You can go along in your castle, and nothing will ever happen. But, Henry, nothing will ever happen." Isn't that what life should be? I'm sorry I haven't done this in my own life.
Sag aftra next pls fellow travelers Mattbomer and Jonathan Bailey together pls after Jonny finishes Thailand shoot schedule. Need them both doing Q&A for FYC screening
Love, love, love Sarah and Taylor as actors and people! They give such great advice here and even though I’m not an actor, I can take their advice and use it in my career. Sarah is our smart af badass girl🩷 TZP is our bighearted Adonis🩷

I loved Sarah as Zahra. She was flat out hilarious
This is WONDERFUL. I love Sarah’s energy and I love everything about Taylor. So interesting to hear them talk about the nuances of their craft.

I love her line " Every time I see you it takes another year off of my life" LOL -
I’m a 75 year old woman and I loved this movie ,the whole cast was amazing Alex and Henry the perfect couple ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These two are really smart actors with true talent, this interview makes me realized how good they both! And what a hell of strong personalities, both of them owned...
this is amazing. not only for actors, we can totally apply most of what taylor and sarah said in our own professional way. thank you!
I wanna say to all aspiring actors--- don't give up, don't give in. You are made to create history, beleive in that.
Love Taylor Zakhar Perez 🥰 he's amazing as always 💜

Taylor is such a bright light in this world! I thank Matthew every day for believing in him as Alex, because he really is Casey’s boy come to life!
Sarah Shahi WINS! She was amazing with a relatively small part. continued success and much love!
Taylor!
You're amazing.
I really want to see it in the next film.

Wonderful and interesting interview....I love very much Sarah and Taylor ❤️
I enjoyed the conversation, both are great. Taylor did a great job as Alex.
Yes! Er hat gekämpft für die wahre Liebe.
I’ve had a crush on Sarah since Person of Interest… she’s just so cool!
Excellent conversation Sarah & Taylor thanks for those tips, they can be applied in any field ❤️🤍💙

They really look like brother and sister. Loved their chemistry in rwrb! So natural 😁
They do not play brother and sister in the movie.
@@Sue-hd8jf I know that. But it was mentioned that they have similar dynamic. I think Sarah mentioned it during the fyc panel.
@@ewtiyub Perhaps they had brother-sister dynamic in the movie, because in the novel, Alex had a sister.
Thanks for this nice interview with very lovely actors: Taylor and Sahra!
Thanks for finally posting!
Sarah was so incredibly wholesome, funny and caring in the film. Loved it❤
After watching the conversation, I appreciate Taylor a million times! All his struggles and the way to fulfill his desire to be an actor. An inspiration to every beginning actor.
Forever in love with Taylor being the kindest human with the kindest heart 💕

Love them both Taylor deserves so many opportunities ❤
16:27 😂 Taylor making Nick's voice hahaha
Grateful there's yet another interview! I could listen to TZP and his stories forever 😊
THANK YOU!!!!

I was waiting for this to get posted and it did not disappoint!!! Great insights from both Taylor and Sarah.
RWRB had great actors,I wouldn't change any of them
TZP you always so elocuent and nice in the interviews and with your fans ❤ I could listen to you for hours!
Super Film mit perfekte Darstellers. Gratuliere! 👍
Taylor Zakhar Perez ,the babygirl that you are ❤
Love what Sarah said in the intro !
When I saw Taylor watch Streisand get the lifetime acheivment award at the SAGs, I wondered if he knew who she was.

Realmente inspiradores, y sus experiencias se aplican en cualquier profesión que tengas, muchas gracias.
Can this perfectly handsome Latin actor play in a film like Titanic or something like Avatar?
The sequel being PG-13? No, Taylor!
It's because the first film didn't really get all that "risque" and still got an R rating that it probably didn't deserve.
Sag aftra next pls fellow travelers Mattbomer and Jonathan Bailey together pls after Jonny finishes Thailand shoot schedule. Need them both doing Q&A for FYC screening
ummm no.. the sequel should not be PG13. Give me double XX, as per Sarah Shahi LOL
Sarah ❤

I really love this movie!❤ I can’t wait to watch this sequel.❤️🤍💙
Both of them are so cool, i wish the interview was longer though
Love, love, love Sarah and Taylor as actors and people! They give such great advice here and even though I’m not an actor, I can take their advice and use it in my career.
