Besides having a beautiful voice she's also a beautiful looking girl. Beautifully sung and a wonderful song. Hopefully increasing awareness of the horrors of the Irish famine and treatment of Irish people from some quarters of English society. The potato blight also hit and badly affected Cornwall and its poor people. Thank you to Mary Duff for this beautiful rendition.

My grandfather was in the British army in Ireland (and the Black and Tans) and he came home ashamed of a service he'd always been proud to serve. Perfect.

1st time I heard this song the Irish fans were singing it at a football game with Spain. Couldn't understand the lyrics so I looked it up on you tube and it is a very beautiful song right up there with Danny Boy. I was born in America but being 100% Irish I love the Celtic Culture and wish I could visit Ireland someday. My ancestors were from Country Cork and my grand Uncle( by marriage) fought in the Easter Uprising. Damn British need to get out of Northern Ireland.
