Re: wobble, I believe the adjustable height on the pedals is to minimize the wobble.. You're supposed to stick your ankle UNDER the padding to get a good grip and minimize wobble.. To get a good fit, you adjust the pedal height to putting exactly right depending on your feet/sole size. If your ankles are higher, i.e. next to the padding and not under it, that increases the wobble chance.
As prototype King Song S18s were passed out to content creators to be tested and reviewed, electric unicycle enthusiasts started to question some design and functionality features. Fortunately, these concerns were about a prototype, so King Song listened and addressed them. Here is a list of changes and improvements on the production model King Song S18: Adjustable Pedal -Structural: The pedals are adjustable allowing riders to lower the platform by 2cm. This allows riders of different heights to have better control and increased comfort levels on the S18. Mudguard- Back fender: Previous mudguard was secured by glue and one screw. The final production is secured by a total of 3, one on each shell and one in between with the addition of glue. Tiring rubbing noise: Some prototypes experienced a rubbing noise issue. The tire we used on prototype is a little bit wider than massive production, and the mainboard holder tubes had some errors, so the tire might be pushed to one side and scratched the body shell. We’ve adjusted the moldings/dimensions to eliminate these issues. Wobbliness: Users experienced issues where the wheel would wobble when braking. After testing we eliminated the issue being suspension related but was rather padding related. Users could not grip the wheel when braking hard, we have since increased the PU pad thickness from 4mm to 12mm. Top of wheel hurting inner knee: The padding was not thick enough causing the knee to interact with the harder elements of the wheel. Final production will have increased the PU pad thickness from 4mm to 12mm. Body shell: Some users experienced the case not being durable enough when crashing. We started using a material with more flexibility causing it to be less brittle. ABS+PC. Outer shells popping off: Users experienced the white body panels coming off when crashing, we have increased the thickness of the clips so they don’t come off as easily. Handle: Sometimes the trigger button gets stuck, we’ve added a crystal silicon logo above the button to create a uniform force downwards. Steel Slide: To increase the durability of our suspension we have changed the sliders from aluminum to steel. The steel is treated to protect it against elements. Suspension support frame: Suspension support frame is changed from space grey to gold. Padding durability: We have changed the material for the padding so it doesn’t rub off as easily.
1. If they make this wheel 2021 in 2KWh and max 60km/h im getting it. 2. Treated steel, maybe they mean stainless steel? Thats basically the ONLY option if going steel on the tubes to the damping (ot it will rust sooner or later, if from a scratch of surface treatment...if its treated with real treatment and not a thin layer of grease). Also keep in mind that using steel instead of Aluminium will make the wheel heavier UNLESS they go down in thickness (which they should as steel is stronger than aluminium)) Forgot to say, LOVE YOUR WORK MAN!! and LOVE THE EFFORT KINGSONG put into it to make this wheel better. If I wouldn't need the extra Wh (currently on Tesla with the same about) I would buy this wheel in a jiffy. But now that Veteran arrived i will hold on for 2021 and see WHO actually continues to listen to their customers. Gotway is moot at the current state, they just push out and try to catch up with even NEW manufscturers, but who knows, they might eant to remain KING and do a tremendeous work during winter. Exiting 2021 to say the least :-(
It trips me out when you said that you dropped it on a carpeted office floor, and the wheel had parts falling off of it. . Kingsong better address that issue, or it not going to look good for sales. I think the Inmotion suspension wheel is better if I was going for that gimmick of suspension. You know what I want Speedy. I want the Sherman all because of the range, and durability. I know I'm going to be dropping it since I'm going to be a new rider. I don't need to worry about the money I spent on worring about it falling apart. Another great review Speedy.

For people that love everything about this wheel but the range, would it be possible to carry an extra battery when needed and have it plugged into the wheel as you ride?
This is a classic example of a lack of leveraging previous design components and design rules. Things like using 3 screws to hold on the mudguard shouldn't have to be discovered for every new wheel. Of course there are a lot of elements to this wheel that had to be redesigned due to the suspension, but don't change what has already been qualified.
According to Afeez it's relatively easy, the panels come off and you just loosen off the axel and the wheel just drops out. Probably less work than other models.
Got the S18 on order now.... about 2 weeks behind my Veteran Sherman..... Time to test my wifes patience I guess. Lol.. Suspension and comfort for my solo cruises when I want to go faster then my Onewheel XR.. And the Veteran for long group rides and for when I want to go some distance... Now to learn to ride the EUC's ... lol..
🌟✨🤛 Great review! Im still working out which wheel to invest in wanting it to cover me learning / mastering it & still be satisfied off road / durability / suspension / battery life etc means first time buyers need dudes like you to test run these new products to iron out these faults that small manufactures will otherwise fail on & lead to unhappy first time buyers suffering these practical use / manufacturing errors. So in short much appreciated!! Doing these test runs out of your own pocket is doing everyone a service! As in effect you are-doing this out of the love of riding. This kind of data can obviously help to improve the whole manufacturing industry providing they are willing to listen / then respond to feedback that you & others make buying & multi testing theses prototypes, and the honest reviews that follow. Hi Speedyfeet, great review vid as usual. Have seen that the 18650 batteries can now have capacity of 12,000 mAh. Are you able to ask KingSong, Inmotion, Gotway, Veteran etc what capacity batteries they are using? Also, the 26650 are a larger and higher capacity battery. Are they using the 18650 (and one particular mAh) because it is the most popular, mass produced, cheaper? Thanks for all the great vids you produce, really appreciate your work.
Ok, thanks. Is the calculation then: 18650 battery, 3.7v x 3.5 ah = 12.95 Wh S18 1110 Wh ÷ 12.95 Wh = 86 batteries. 86 batteries x 45 grams = 3.87 kg approximately for weight of battery pack(s). Even the Kingsong 16S had a 1200Wh battery and 75km range approximately. The S18 battery and small range seems a disappointment.
Paul A The 18S, V11, GW Mspro are using 21700 cells with 5000mah.....18S is 3P , 60cells, V11 4P, 80cells, both in 20cells series, Gw is 4p with 24cells series. 96cells. So the 18s is 60cells with 5000mah =1110wh... And btw: Nope, the 16s is only 67Volt, having 840wh, you exchanged motorpower of the 16s (1200w) with battery 840wh.
My wife and I could sell the crap out of these in our cross country adventure. She is 55 and I an 58 . She currently rides a KS14 and 26 " unicycle. And me I ride a 29" unicycle and Inmotion v8. .
I appreciate your honest reviews but I think if someone is paying £2,000 they shouldn't have to be glueing pieces back on! Perhaps they should have sorted these issues out before putting it on the market? Will new stock have these issues sorted for sure or maybe?
You mention how this is the pre-production model and you had to buy it. Will they allow you to swap it out for the final production model, or are you basically stuck with this model? Also, it's bloody typical that like buses, three new unicycle come along at once. I want them all!! Sherman is edging it so far though. But this and the V11 are so desirable for easing the pain in my damaged legs.
4 wheels, if they ever finish the Monster Pro, and maybe 5 if they release a suspension model. I'll choose the best once they have been out for a while to see if any gremlins pop up.
shame you don't get a reply to a ? on here but if you say a wheel is ugly like the sherman then you get a reply such a shame, but no doubt i will give you more business by buying this when it arrives what a sucker i am lol.

you should set the same framerate for the camera and that youtube-twitter-subscribers-counter
I guess its 50\60 now
Are you sure he should set them to the same framerate? Any slight deviation would make it turn on and off slowly.

The KS S18 is to the EUC market as onewheel XR to the eskateboard.

Yes, external battery already available for sale at ewheels
i ask Ian to test it with a battery charger and a long extension cord to validate if the wheel could run with an additional power source
It's pricey, but worth it if this is your main wheel.

hi, do you know if h666 chao yang tire could fit ks18xl? a seller on aliexpress is advertising the h666 tire for ks18xl!.but the h666 is a 3" tire!.
