CANADA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL HIKE - BERG LAKE - MOUNT ROBSON

  • The Berg Lake Trail is a world-renowned backcountry hiking trail. Gaining just under 800 metres in 23 kilometres, the trail traverses three biogeoclimatic zones.
This trail takes hikers to some of the best scenery in the province. Beyond Kinney Lake, the trail enters the Valley of a Thousand Falls. Fed by the massive Mist, Berg and Robson glaciers, visitors often see huge sections of ice break off or “calve” into the blue/green, silt-laden waters of Berg Lake. Berg Lake campsite is 21 km from the trailhead parking lot. Use one of the campgrounds as a base and take in some day hiking or continue past Robson Pass campground for a challenging excursion.
I completed the hike as an overnight trip as it is much faster when you're traveling solo, but having more time and less snow I could easily have kept going into Robson Pass. Really looking forward to exploring more of this later this summer.
If you interested in this hike ensure you make your reservation months in advance, it sells out extremely fast as it is not a difficult hike, yet the beauty is the selling point.

ALEXANDER ROSS: Living in 344 Clinton Street in METROPOLIS, this dilettantish and overzealous correspondence sleuth was a neighbor to CLARK KENT. He wondered about the reporter's odd schedule and concluded that Kent was actually a criminal disguised as a journalist. Rather than endure further scrutiny that just might have compromised his secret identity 🆔, Kent confided in Ross that his schedule was unusual given his work with Superman! I'm snowshoeing it in a few days. The trail is closed in the summer due to flooding but it's open most of winter and it's absolutely gorgeous in the winter as well. Just make sure you are prepared with avalanche gear.
