    Easiest way to manage listing overload is organize by type. Do a block of items per day. Vases one day, candlesticks one day, glassware one day, you get the drift. Its easier to duplicate listings this way to speed the process. The biggest problem with continuing to shop is we tend to pick all the best items to list and forget the rest and shopping again. Been at this since 2005. Ive been through this. Now I buy things that require certain sizes of packaging. Its also good to fine tune what you love to sell and stick to it. We make more money the more knowledgeable we get. 😉keep it simple! I do quite well and don’t have any other platform than eBay. As for oil paintings, there is also line painted mass art and printed with texture. BE CAREFUL. My mom was an oil artist so I am pretty skilled at telling whats authentic. It can be difficult to determine real from fake for newbies.

    Hello from nearby in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have learned a lot from your videos since discovering your channel several months ago. I have a small booth space here in town where I stock mostly antique and vintage postcards but also some vintage and antique housewares and decor. Your tips about managing inventory and my business has been really helpful. Your video today inspired me to get some items out of the dark recesses of my storage closet and take them to my booth. Keep up the great work and happy 2024.

    One of my New Year’s resolutions is to get things out of boxes and bags, put them on a shelf where I can see what I have, then take them to my booth or list them online! Thanks for the inspiration, Melanie!

    Oh my goodness, thank you for this fabulous and inspiring end of 2023 video! I over buy and become overwhelmed with booth items constantly. My goal for 2024 is to take your advice and not over buy and most importantly, get my items inventoried and IN MY BOOTH in an expedient manner! I can’t seem to execute my inventory quickly enough and I’ve got to improve.
    You are amazing and I appreciate all of your helpful advice. I wish you and your family a very happy 2024!🎉 I know your business will continue to grow and do awesome in 2024!🎉

    I sell in northeastern Ohio and do NOT have luck with baskets but mirrors, prints and framed art and sets of drinking glasses/barware do well. So do glass dresser trays and unique holiday pieces and vintage cookbooks.

    Some stores don't give an itemized receipt, so I jot down a description and cost before I leave the parking lot.

    Thank you so much for answering my question.
    I wanted to share that my nephews are 17, 15 and my niece is 11, how about that coincidence.😊 They live in Maryland where I’m from. Can’t wait to visit them soon.
    Also, I was recently diagnosed with adult ADHD-inattentive. I have unfortunately been impulsive buying and procrastinating and just having difficulty focusing to the point of hoarding. I’ve put myself on a purchasing timeout until June and 3-4x per week I have to take 10 priced items to my booth(s). Pricing has become difficult because I have forgotten how much I paid for items. When I start purchasing again I will probably incorporate the inventory sheet you shared.
    Thank you for sharing. The information you put out is very helpful and appreciated. 😊

    Love all your tips, what do you think about selling on eBay?

    • @LostFoundDecor
      @LostFoundDecor  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could be a good option, but I don’t have much experience with it. Sometimes you have to try a few different places to sell before you find what you like and what works best for how you like to work :)

    Hello. I enjoy watching your videos. You give out a lot of great information. However, the use of “Antique Booth” is very misleading. What appears in your videos are re-sale/decor items with some vintage and very little if any antique items. Antiques are 100 years old or older and vintage traditionally is 30 years old up to 99 years old. However, Etsy and other selling venues are redefining vintage as 20 years to 99 years old. On sites such as TH-cam “antique” unfortunately has become a generic term for re-sale goods

      @LostFoundDecor  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for sharing your knowledge, and you are correct :) I think it will be tough for me not say "antique booth" however, for 12 years now that is what I've always called it and what others in my circle have as well. The first mall I sold it was called "Antique Company Mall" yet there were plenty of items not antique :) I don't think the term is meant to be misleading, it's just become a general term for vintage reselling.
