This was very helpful i to am a wheel chair user, in the process of setting up a bed room, since i rent i can not widen the door way, how ever i bought a tranport chair it does not have the big back wheels , it has smaller wheels, so now i can roll in and out of bed room.
Your bedroom looks lovely. My house is all damaged, as when I first moved in or when I got my new chair it takes a while to get used to things so I smashed into everything. lol
I love that bed! I ordered a day bed that was that style...but it never shipped 🙁. I was soooo bummed. They discontinued the item right after I placed the order. I hope it wasn't something I said 🤫.
@@daniellability I ended up getting a hospital bed with turn assist rails because I was using the bars to grab onto and turn. Did you know those half rails that are turn assist are almost $300.00??? I was just hurting too much and discovered it was a non supportive mattress and lack of ability to elevate my legs and head.
I love your bed. I have a day bed and i love it because when I'm transferring i can use the foot board or whatever its called to hold on to when im getting in or out of bed I don't have great balance so having something to grab is great. Your closet is amazing I've alway wanted to have a roll in closet. this might sound weird but im not trying to but i have a question about your shoe i also have Spina Bifida and have a hard time finding shoes because i have what my mom calls my "fat feet" i have to go to a special shoe store that has wide shoes sizes because if i dont get shoes like that forget it ill never get the shoe on and what's even funnier i still have a pair of shoes that i got when i was like 12 or 13 and i just turned 24 a couple weeks ago so my feet haven't grown in about 12 years so im technically still in kids shoes
Oh I see... It does get very slippery, and that definitely compromises safety! I just prefer bath water to having water pouring down on me... My parents tub has a square of tile next to it, so I used to seat myself on that before lowering myself into the tub... Maybe something like that could work for you? or would you not be able to get back out? I don't know about the range of motion you have in your legs...

Haha! There were lots of scratch marks on the walls in my house growing up too
You have the same size wheelchair as me. It's a pain sometimes having such a large chair!
Hello. I was wondering who/how do you get your things down from the high shelf in the closet??
Loved the video and totally jealous of all that closet space!
Thanks!! I'm definitely very thankful for the space I have :)

What a bummer! I hope you were able to find another option

Love your room

Hey Daniell loved the video! Quick question what are those pink looking wheel things that are attached to your wheels?
They look like push rim covers to help with pushing. I used to have some but purple lol
Sarah, do you know where I could find them?
@@crystal18180 I found some on the Quickie wheelchair website
@Nikki Matthys Thank you I appreciate it!
I just got them recently. I’ll be doing a video about them in the next couple of weeks 😀
Where did you by that mirror?😍
I think I got mine at Beth Bath and Beyond. But you can find similar ones on Amazon
nice house👌
thank you 😀
What's the size of your bedroom
You are really pretty.
The door frames in my house are all scraped! :D
Mine too! 😆

I definitely have the same issue with shoes. I’ll do a video at some point about the kind of shoes I found that work best for me. Thanks for question!

Wouldn't a bathtub be so much more comfortable?!
Great question! But actually no, because it's really hard to get over the side of a bathtub.
