Finally, I know the name of my plant, mini monstera,,,,,my plant finder named it Monstera Obliqua also Monstera Adonsonai, but it doesn’t look exactly like those…I repotted it, put it on a trellis and it’s growing like crazy…I’m going to propagate it soon…thanks for the great tips…
I put mine in a lot of cedar bark and some soil. For the past few months it has been constantly moist and it grows like crazy. No root rot it literally grows like grass.
I finally figured out the difference between yours and Emma's minima. Yours is the non tissue culture form and the one that Emma and I have is a tissue culture version. Yours is better and I hope to find one someday
I love my Tetrasperma! I have quiet a big bushy one, must be quite a few potted in it, and it’s so beautiful! I’ve propagated too so hopefully I’ll have another soon x
Oooh gorgeous! I really want to do this with mine at some point too - they look so gorgeous when they're full and bushy. Fingers crossed your propagation is speedy and successful 💚
@@TheJungleHaven just had a look at the roots and their all thick and juicy! Going to leave them a little longer though, I need time to figure out where the baby is going to live 😂 x
Hi, is it important to cut the cuttings near the node? I took a cutting from my plant at half way betweeen two nodes and it seems that the original plant is not growing back from the cut area. The area looks like wood.
After I got mine I managed to give it root rot it lost all its leaves and roots so we're starting over haha that was left of it is still alive and starting to grow new roots I've just got it in house plant mix (no soil or bark) and cling film over the pot to create humidity and it's doing great no new leaves yet tho
Hello your video was informative . My plant is struggling , there are trips on it everytime , I tried spraying it with onion water , chemical spray , but the trips keeps coming every time. The trips have also attacked my neon photos as well😟,. Can you share tips on how to avoid trips getting back
Hi. Great video. I just got two small cuttings with a bit of roots from ebay. I live in a low humidity state. I have the cuttings in water under a small clear plastic bowl (dollar store “greenhouse”). Is it better to let them get accustomed to low humidity from the beginning? I’m wondering if it will get used to the humidity then die once I remove it from the bowl/greenhouse dome once it gets too big. Any recommendations about this? Thanks!
Hi, my name is dave and this is tuffy.🐶😉 I watch plant videos to keep from killing my jungle. I just purchased a “philodendron minima” according to the label on the pot but can’t find any info on it, is that mislabeled? thanks in advance.😁
Hi, do they get as big as a mature montera if you have them grow roots in a pole. Or do they usually maintain this medium leave size? I just got one and I’m debating whether to put it on a pole or have it climb around my room. Yours is gorgeous much bigger than the ones I've seen, which is what made me curiois about their size.
I think it really depends on the plant, but I tend to lean more towards moss and coir poles as opposed to planks. That being said, I've got some plants (Monstera Dubia for example) that's happily climbing a plank 💚
According to the RHS app, Ours is apparently the same altho looks much more ‘foliage’ on it. We’ve had it three weeks now and have watered it only twice when soil began to feel slightly drier but it’s started to kind of fall right over rather than be upright. Any ideas as to what we might be doing wrong? Thank you in advance ☺️
I bought one a few months ago but my husband started putting too much water and now have a root rot. I cut it and place it in water. I want the new root got bigger before planting it again.
I just got this plant. I have always been intrigued by it but, I could not find one that was satisfactory. I recently ordered one online and I don’t think it was too happy. I may have to chop and prop. 😓
It's such an awesome plant! I'm sorry it didn't arrive in a great way... luckily they are so quick and easy to propagate, so fingers crossed you'll have loads of healthy ones in no time 💚
I've had cuttings in water for months that haven't done a thing. I might have to try spaghnum. 🙄 My attempts at it in the past weren't great so I usually avoid it. 🤞
So although it won't grow from the exact same growth point, it tends to form one very close to it, so once it gets going will look very similar to the original stem. If you chop and propagate a plant regularly it can start to encourage other growth points along the main stem to pop and "branch". I go through this in my recent propagation video and show some examples (just incase that wasn't clear) 💚
hey, wondering were you get the mose from. Do you find it outside or buying it, and when palcing in a cup, do you fill the cup with a lot of water or not? :)
Great tips thank you! I bought mine with no fenestrations and after a few months it’s still not got any…do you have any idea why or what I need to do? Thanks!
Hmm I know younger leaves can sometimes struggle to produce fenestration... I'd maybe suggest increasing it's light and if you're not already adding some fertiliser into your watering routine? 💚
I have one that is over 7 feet tall; super healthy, but the bottom foot and a half of leaves has dropped and looking at it had started bothering me. However I don’t want to chop it and lose that length 😢 what can I do?
8 months later😂why dont you plant a similar companion try grower like monstera adansonii and keep propagating from original plant so you have a bushier plant, let part trail but most crawl up that empty space... let only a few keep climbing on original plant... or do the same from the top of that 7 ft. youre going to run out of space soon😂
My absolute favourite plant, it’s growing sooooo fast. Love it!
They really are ridiculously fast growers! 💚
The timing though! I literally got one a few hours ago 😂💀
Aww yay! Great timing 💚

I just got my first today. Im so excited to find care tips on my favorite channel
@ammrro I found one today in Lynchburg, VA from Walmart. I'm very excited to see how it gets on. Good luck with yours🪴😊

Amazing! Yeah they're ridiculously fast growers! 💚
As a counterpoint, I grow mine in semi hydro no drainage, and my home ambient humidity is usually 30-40%, and it grows beautifully with no browning :)
Ooooh wow - I've never actually tried hydroponics for this plant... Perhaps I'll give it a go at some point 💚
@@TheJungleHaven In my own experience, plants that are a bit thirstier love being grown semi hydro!
Thank you hun
Greatly appreciated ❤

Perfect timing! I checked on my cutting as I wondered why it wasn’t thriving! Root rot. Out of the soil and into moss to save I hope.
Ooooh fingers crossed it bounces back! 💚
Thankyou for the video. My plant has broken right up near the top. Nay ideas how to save it?

I am not a huge fan of moss poles - will she climb with a trellis?

Dose it grow quciker than golden photos?

Will these struggle if they are in too large of a pot? Should the leaves be firm to the touch? Thanks!

Can you make it more full all the way up ?
I bought one a few months ago but my husband started putting too much water and now have a root rot. I cut it and place it in water. I want the new root got bigger before planting it again.
I just got a new Rafi and some of the leaves have black dots. Couldn't find any bugs. Have any clue what can cause those dots?
Mine might have to much air flow. Because I don't think it's the watering now.
Well done video!
Thank you! 💚
Very beauti monstera minima plant your i love it.
I'm wondering if you've tried air layering? I've got a beautiful node but the thought of cutting is frightening. What do you think?
Can you grow this plant outside?
How to raise humidity naturally?

Moss has always worked best for this plant in my experience, just be sure not to pack the moss in too tightly, leave it nice and airy 💚
Once you’ve taken the cutting, does the parent plant continue to grow a single steam or branch?
So although it won't grow from the exact same growth point, it tends to form one very close to it, so once it gets going will look very similar to the original stem. I've killed 2 of these already. Well established plants too :( and i thought these were easy! I'm not a newbie to plants either!
A great plant
Isn't it just!? 💚
I propagate by just sticking them into water and they root. Easy plant tbh.
Just got one the new leaves came out Yellow then started browning :(
Its probably because of over watering 🤔 check the roots how they look
Do the gaps on the stem from each leaf grow longer over time? Mine is oferta stacked and low, i have a stick attached to it too
Did you make this for me? 🤣 what are the odds!! I just got one last night!
Hahaha I saw you comment that on my other vid about a second before I uploaded this video 💚 Plant telepathy right there! 😂
@@TheJungleHaven this video was super helpful, thank you! 🥰
I don’t know how the algorithm works but I just repotted some cuttings of this a few hours ago…. They are watching me.
Omg I’m so damn heartbroken because I didn’t realize I accidentally didn’t buy a real monstera 😭
Mine doesn't matter if drafty,it doesn't like cold continue craft, basic knowledge
