What's crazy Oda has claimed that the current manga arc is supposed to be more chaotic than marineford. At first I thought it was bs but dude is cooking.
Do not under estimate Blackbeard. He easily knew how to use Whitebeard's fruit powers because he studied that since he was a kid. Maybe you forgot that he literally said he studied and memorized all the Devil Fruits that existed and studied their abilities. He also grew up on Whitebeard's ship so he has a first hand experience and witnessed how WB used the powers. He is not a mere cheap villain. He is smart and very dangerous just like what Shanks said and warned Whitebeard.

Look it took me 400 episodes to be a fan but I'm officially a One Piece fan now. Impel Down got me going and everything that transpired with White and Ace I can finally jump on board and say I'm excited to see where it goes next. Also I'm positive Shanks came before Gildarts but man those two are peas in a pod and why I love them so much....never see them much but when they show up people pee their pants.
The submarine scenes sure hit different now LOL

Tbh. If you have a chance to completely destroy your enemies and kinda save the world from pirates, the wounded are the last thing you should think about. Yeah, you've saved one soldier but that one pirate that escaped will kill at least 10 people...
That's a childish mentality. You can never 'erase all evil', so focus on saving your trained men for next battles.
This wasn't about ending pirates, there's wayyy more out there that are very dangerous. Wars have a purpose, this one's purpose was achieved, they won and reached the goal, killing Ace and even Whitebeard.
The rest was just not gonna impact much in the greater scheme except lose them more manpower.
It was more a matter of pride than efficiency to those who wanted to carry on.
@@anonymousbutterfly2601 Ngl. the entire crew of Whitebeard pirates, all the commanders and allies that have control over multiple islands, are one of the strongest and even brought by Whitebeard himself (so are worth of staying by his side) are kinda worth killing on the spot. Don"t you think ? It's not just some random pirates and Navy have literally all of the strongest people they have at the spot.
I know pirates are the main characters in One Piece, Luffy will prob. be the King of The Pirates and the Navy will lose, but that'll be the moment they lost. Marineford was the last chance the Navy had to change anything... GG
@@piotrmorag2597 not really, after the war and losing their captain they dispersed and no longer played any big part, all islands under his command fell to other pirates that are terrible unlike him who was protecting.
I know Luffy and co. will prevail but the point here is that Marineford wouldn't have taken out 20% of pirates. You have three other Yonko crews and allies, as well as plenty other crews, supernova, warlords, etc...
Literally nothing would have been affected by coming out with few men left standing to kill the other pirates, and I doubt they would have gotten all the commander levels, not your average soldiers anyway. They were put to a better use by helping the injured to recover and fight more pirates in the future.
If you told me all pirates in the world gathered in Marineford then yeah maybe obliterating them would have mattered a lot, but don't forget this is just a fallen Yonko's remnant crew and allies that fell off the grid afterwards.
They even went after those and Luffy more than BB and his crew that were way more dangerous atm, which says a lot about how much they care to swiftly put an end to pirates. Like I said it was a matter of pride more than efficiency and prioritizing threats.

Why don't anime characters get prosthetics? Shanks could've had a prosthetic arm by now, but hecrefuses to get one. The same goes for multiple other anime characters in other anime.

I mean obviously it's just speculation but like... he's probably extremely used to fighting one armed now. If he got a prosthetic it would probably make him fight worse at this point.
Knowing Oda he'd probably say that it would undermine the entire point of Shanks sacrificing his arm to save Luffy.
