It kind of makes sense. The problem most people seem to have with this album is that it's too "out there", not even that it's like super experimental, just that it's all over the place. Which explaind pretty well why someone who thinks Yeat is monotonous would like it more than the people who would swallow 20 songs of the same shit and ask for seconds

“Nun Id change” is different to what yeat usually does imo. Fave song on the album for me and there’s a lot to choose from.

I think this is a solid album. I know Yeat isn't the kind of artist that music nerds are into but I hope people will give Rage more of a second look. A lot of it is great stuff.
I mean I love WLR. it's like a 7 for me and could be a 9 if trimmed down. Hell it could be a 10 if trimmed down and added some of the leaks I've heard, so maybe I'll like this album a lot. I have a couple freinds that have very expansive music tastes, but HATE Carti. I am definitely alone in my love for WLR.

I’ve always seen Yeat as a bit of a Cloud/Rage rap Lil B of sorts. Like everything from the somewhat perplexing knock-on effect (for more older people of course), the kind of cryptic, screwball-ish lyrical content, the vast quantity of music put out in so little time. And on top of all of that, the meme-ability B and Yeat both present in their own respective catalogues are undeniable. And yes, I do understand I’m talking about rappers like it’s a college lecture and everything but thanks everyone for coming to my TED talk, guys.

Imo Yeat does rage the most unique out of anyone trying to do it, with both voice and instrumental, with his rage beats sounding more alien than most and he definitely has one of the most unique voices in rap maybe ever
AftërLyfe is a 9.5/10 to me, Yeat did a lot on this and I love his music. Bëttr 0ff is my favorite track with Mëan feen being my least, no questions asked

as a yeat enthusiast i am very surprised with the 7 rating. this album was very experimental and i really enjoyed it

Yeat is easily the best artist of our time. In terms of music quality I've seriously never heard better hip hop. We are finally ditching the concept of lyricism and focusing on sound only. The beats are better than ever and so are the vocals. Everything else in hip hop just feels corny and a mediocre version of what hip hop should be when you compare it to yeat.
I can't wait to only be able to mildly enjoy this new yeat album, thanks melon!

One thing I noticed is that half the album also seems off the dome at some points, I think he mentions himself free-styling on mean Feen. If he is able to keep a very addictive, rage induced, and sometimes melodic style while doing off the dome freestyles, and manage to produce good songs is impressive for someone that is just perceived as a meme rapper a lot
Fun fact: Can’t stop it off Lyfë and Myself off this album we’re originally one song that got split into 2

Really hyped this album got a positive review but the fact that this and Die Lit are the only albums in this style of hiphop you've given mainly positive feelings, makes me think that while I do think your review of this style are very valuable for discourse, entertainment and obviously people wondering your opinion, I wouldn't really say they are serving the purpose of letting people know what other albums are worth checking out in this sound. I'm obviously not hating, just expressing my thoughts

Once you get accustomed to pluggnb, rage, and all that, it gets a lot easier to listen to this stuff and that's why he gave such low scores for Flawless Like Me, X, and No Stylist. Part of what Fantano thinks makes Afterlyfe so good is just the "creativity" so basically he just wants Yeat to turn pop instead of sticking to the style that makes him great

i am not really a yeat fan, i aprieate some of his music however this album is really interesting and i did not expect him to experiment with his sound like this. I hope he does more experimental music and implements other generas into his music.

At first I hated this album, but something had me coming back and it's seriously grown on me, and it is very engaging and interesting. Easily 7.5/10 to 8/10 and I only expect it to age well with his future work.
