I have wanted to make one of these for ages and have watched numerous videos ( over & over) with just OK results- you know, nothing like you'd want to give as gifts. This video however, is perfect & even my first attempt turned out beautiful. Recommended it to all my beading friends when they saw my bracelet. Thank you & warm wishes from still chilly Wisconsin!!!!
Aloha Mary! Thanks for your kind and wonderful support! We've been in the bead biz for 20 years now, and it's so heart warming to know that our community is only getting larger and happier!! Sunshine and smiles from Hawaii!! - jamie
I used another tutorial to make one and a few days after wearing it, the bracelet is a mess. I am so glad I found your video, beads are secure and professional, and you're easy to follow. Love your work, thanks a bunch!
Both! You can use waxed cotton or leather cord, and we've used anywhere from .5mm to 2.5mm in size.. You can use what looks proportional to your bead size, so with 4mm beads I like the .5mm to 1mm diameter cords :). Have fun and play!! aloha, jamie
The thin cord is microcord - a nylon :). Please contact us at request@thebeadgallery.com or text 808-436-4930 and we will be happy to help you!! Aloha!!
Easy to follow directions but have a question about the cord/wrap. You say to use 6lb beading cord. But the bracelets shown by Chan Luu shows a different kind of cord being used. Do you know what she uses?
you really are a great teacher in this and your explanations are fantastic. I love this little bracelet I was wondering what is the size and name of the fire chech glass beads (I think that is what they are called ha ha). Also the size of the seed bead you use in the two hole bracelet. I am from Australia and was wondering if you post to here as postage can be too expensive. I would love to buy a kit that's all. Anyway I look forward to your response and want to thank you in advance xox
Aloha! We like the 4mm fire polish for daintier versions, and 6mm firepolish for a more substantial look. Our current FAVORITE is with 8mm round gemstones! For the seed beads, we use 11/0 delicas because they stack so well together, and the sizing is very even. Yes! We can ship to Australia :) Email us at info@thebeadgallery.com for your bead needs and let's see if we can help you out!! Bye! Jamie
I really learned how to do this technique by watching this video. You are a great teacher. I would like to know the brand/ kind of micro cord you are using. There are so many choices and I am new to this. Thank you.
Aloha Kelly! Thanks for watching our video :) The kind of micro cord we use is a nylon cord which sells for $10 a spool (appx. 300 yd., aka. a lifetime supply lol!). We have kits of supplies on our site www.thebeadgallery.com if you are interested. Mahalo!! - Ellie
Hi Kelly! We call it microcord and it's a thin nylon that's twisted, vs strands of fiber, and we find that it's really strong and lasts long. Even washable! We carry about 50 colors, so let us know if you want us to make a recommendation on our top selling colors - we can send it out to you :)! Email us at info@thebeadgallery.com So glad you enjoyed Michelle's teaching!! She's been with our store for 19 years and is a wonderful explainer of beading techniques! Aloha!
Hi!! Just wanted to let you know that microcord has 11 new colors and in small spools, and we are running a one time special on it til tomorrow night.. Here's the link if you want some!! thebeadgallery.com/shop/microcord-100-yard-spool-pre-sale/
Try 3 ft for the first time and then go less depending on the wrist size and how much you need for the knots/extension at the end. aloha and good luck!
What can cause some beads to lay higher than others? Could it be that the beads are not the same size? Is there a reason you prefer not to use beading needles?
Hi Samoht! We use hypo-tube cement.. Been using that for about 20 years, and love this product. Easy to apply with a tiny tiny tip and easy to control with that tip and the tube action. Let us know if you want us to ship you some! Aloha! Jamie
That's a piece of wood to raise the height of the clip, so that we can get our hands under the project. We call is a Rex Board, after our friend's Dad who made them for us :)
I love this bracelet. I went to your site to buy the thread burner but there was a different one on there. Which thread burner are you using in this video? What is it called in your shop? Thanks so much
In the beginning, we use 4mm fire polish beads, and the two hole beads are the same height as two 11/0 delica seed beads stacked together! Hope this helps :-) Ellie
Hello is the thread you used in this video still available to purchase anywhere? I can’t find it! I purchased some c-Lon micro cord but it seems so fine I don’t know if it will easily go through the beads. Any tips/advice? A link to the cord would be amazingly helpful!
Hi Erin! Our friend's dad, Rex, modified the boards for us!! check it out! th-cam.com/video/-pcpnLDchlo/w-d-xo.html If you live near the store, we'd tell you to pop in and pick one up! If you don't, maybe you can modify one yourself - i know he cut the wood and re-screwed it back in to give us the height we needed! Aloha!! jamie
Aloha! We use hypo-tube cement when we do glue, but overall we prefer burning the threads to end because it's extremely permanent :) Good luck and have fun!!
Hi Yvette! We used a nylon thread called microcord. We've used thinner (like a nymo B and D or superlon) but found that it didn't hold up as well over time. So our time-tested fave thread is the microcord :) Aloha!
Can men wear this style of bracelet? Really am digging the tutorial and currently teaching my mother how to do different types instead of elastic all the time. She sells jewelry sets at fairs and festivals every chance she gets. Constantly telling her that versatility will generate profits being every piece she create is handmade. It is why I have taken pride in helping her generating more pieces on my spare time
Would it be better to use a needle? You could thread 2 needles seems like it would go faster. But I have never made a bracelet like this so I don't know for sure.
Hi! We used hypo tube cement. One of most-loved glues that we've used for almost 20 years. It dries clear, doesn't crack or get hard, and stays flexible - so perfect on a knot. Good luck and if you need a tube, email us at info@thebeadgallery.com Aloha! Jamie
So I went to your online shop in search of the micro cord you talked about in the video and in the comments below. But I can not find micro cord to buy, only kits for something else where this cord is included. Where or how can i find this cord? Thanks in advance.
We are currently redesigning our website to better provide to the beading community - so sorry about it not being available there but please reach out to us at info@thebeadgallery.com or call us at 808.589.2600 and let us know what you are looking for and we will help in any way we can!

Hi! we use it folded in half, and after tying both knots, doesn't leave much excess. If you have a really small wrist, you can definitely use a bit shorter leather! Let us know how it goes! Aloha!
I’ve watched, any videos on these and you are the first to explain how to secure the beads so they don’t move around. Thank you!
Kari Moss you are welcome and thanks for hanging out with us!!

This is a great tutorial!!! Could you use hemp cord instead of the leather?
Margaret Giusino I did and it turned out just fine 👍🏻
If you want to do this as a single not double wrap how long does the leather need to be ?
Try 3 ft for the first time and then go less depending on the wrist size and how much you need for the knots/extension at the end. aloha and good luck!

That's a piece of wood to raise the height of the clip, so that we can get our hands under the project. We call is a Rex Board, after our friend's Dad who made them for us :)
Beutiful

Necesito saber las cantidades O medidas no hablo ese idioma como hago para verlo en Español
Cuáles son las medidas de los hilos? Gracias.
good job
Would it be better to use a needle? You could thread 2 needles seems like it would go faster. But I have never made a bracelet like this so I don't know for sure.
Hi Debra! You can try two needles, of course! It just depends if the bead hole is able to take a double over thread through the hole!
I was thinking the same thing...that''s what I'm going to do... needle for sure!
Endless loom
Endless loom
i use illusion cord / fishing line and a bead loom. the illusion cord / fishing line acts like needles so it would be better with no needle
What type of glue did you use ?

Do you ship to countries in Europe? I can't find any informations on shipping. Do I really have to create an account to find this out?
parsleybrain email us at info@thebeaadgallery.com and we will research the most economical way to ship to you!
2 ft of leather cord per wrap seems really excessive?
Hi! we use it folded in half, and after tying both knots, doesn't leave much excess. If you have a really small wrist, you can definitely use a bit shorter leather! Let us know how it goes! Aloha!
