The math is simple for anyone that knows the grind in POE. To be lvl97 you need to have played about 200hrs grinding. Especially in HC where you got to take things a bit slower to not accidentally die. That's about 6hrs per day playing POE2 since launch. There's no way he could have done that.
6 hours wouldn't be that bad. I had worked multiple jobs and had a played sports to a high level and still had kept 4-6 hours of gaming before bed and in the morning. I barely play games compared to how I used to and still rack up 8xthe hours compared to anyone else I play with. Give me a billion dollars, and employees capable of building things I want and I could still play games all day. You simply need to keep updated in new information for the companies which you can do by speaking to the experta you hired and using AI or internet. I work 16 and 12 hour shifts now with a number of promotions and can play games for half those hours if I want too during the day.

I tried the make a build for my first character failed then looked at a build guide. I’m 167 hrs in and I’m now about to finish act 3 for the second time at level 68 before mapping. This dude owns 2-3 companies and is also doing political stuff what time does he have to play lol i call cap. Edit: context, im just a regular person with a job and a family. So i dont get much time to play
You can still get stuck even with a build, my first and second build got bricked because it cant go through maps comfortably, it turns out the gear needed for the build to work is too expensive. I rolled another build and breeze through t18. This game is deep, so its natural to spend 100+ of hours in it.

Building muscle memory??? You do that at level 1 and gain new skills as you level. At level 97 you built your muscle memory long ago. At hardcore 97 you have thought and experienced so many scenarios with the eye on staying alive and you are tactical and efficient. This guy really should put his glasses back on. Wow

The funniest angle to me from this whole saga is that if the Elon defenders believe his PoE achievements are legit, it means they think he's spent the vast majority of his waking hours over the past two months playing a video game when he was ostensibly supposed to be doing Serious, Important, Government-Related Work, and they're totally fine with that. (Obviously the answer is they're not actually thinking about anything critically.)
I tried the make a build for my first character failed then looked at a build guide. I’m 167 hrs in and I’m now about to finish act 3 for the second time at level 68 before mapping. This dude owns 2-3 companies and is also doing political stuff what time does he have to play lol i call cap.
Edit: context, im just a regular person with a job and a family. So i dont get much time to play
You can still get stuck even with a build, my first and second build got bricked because it cant go through maps comfortably, it turns out the gear needed for the build to work is too expensive. I rolled another build and breeze through t18. This game is deep, so its natural to spend 100+ of hours in it.
lol, the fact that Elon was fucking ham handing the fucking keyboard, just mashing the shit out of every bottom against an Act 2 mid act Boss, is proof enough he doesn't have the ability to level a character to 97 without dying. You can't just mash the fucking keyboard because at some point you're going to run out of mana or something is going to happen while you're button mashing that leads to you ending up being dead.
Even more so, without knowing _exactly_ what you are doing, you will literally end up being oneshot by off-screen bullshit you didn't even realize existed. Keep in mind the character is on the hardcore ladder so dying literally means cya (well, you get demoted to Standard league, but getting to 97 in Hardcore would have been impossible for a "player" like Elon in the first place).
Never mind the not knowing how maps work, he is probably high 24/7 and will never get the waystones right. But "my hatt is only lvl 50" - yea pro gamer indeed.

As someone who grew up with Arcade Tournaments yeah, if elon even played and won it would have been for shit. Video games as a lively hood back then was non-existent if you were a gamer. You were instead ridiculed and set up LAN Parties with your other nerd friends.
