[FGO NA] Scuffed Charlemagne vs Calvary Class AQ

So... I intially wanted to roll for Charlemagne on my 4th Account since I could use another strong AOE (looping) Saber on that account. However with 12 sets of 11 rolls (360 SQ worth of rolls) I got nothing but NP3 Kriemhild on that account (who I burnt 2 copies by accident because I forgot additional 4 star copies don't get locked automatically lmao). Then I rolled on my 2nd Account with 13 sets of 11 rolls (390 SQ worth of rolls) and got him NP2 here lol.
Either way, definitely a 100 target and a potential 120 target if I have nothing better to do in the future.

Charle is alreay a super extreme epic and strong guy without his upgrade so to imagine that on JP he's even stronger is amazing!
I got him np2 but since i have no materials, apples not even qp it's gonna take me some time to upgrade him ngl but at least i know he's worth it

​@@texzoc5560 thing is he absolutely can farm, even with Black Grail, which is super impressive for a quick servant. Just that people prefer summer okita alter over him most of the time.

Got quite far in the story on one of my accounts. Won't spoil, but he's hype.
Oh yeah, his FA requires like 20+ of a new bronze mat, and 70+ of them for each skill. So just got him to a level that's "good enough" for now.

I've heard he's comparable to Summer Okita Alter. Got her at NP2, so not sure if I should go for him as well.
The gimmick seems to be tied to getting buff stacks for the NP, and the only way to get those is to get hit without invul. Seems like it's too much work to set up for me.

He does get a buff to that skill in the future. Crits grant the special np buff I believe?

Here's my assessment so far as someone who has access to both. Obviously I have yet to max out Charlemagne, but overall from what I played he's looking up to be an inferior side grade to Summer Okita Alter when he's not facing his ideal enemy traits (which is to say he is still strong, but Summer Okita Alter is another level of nuts).
As a pure solo unit he is mostly inferior to Summer Okita Alter due to his S1 gimmick, but his team play applications are interesting with budget stuff, when pairing with other units with target able defense like Mash and Fuuma. Also has some synergy with multi DD setups as well.
If you have Okita Alter already, Charlemagne really isn't needed. He's just an alternative to her but with a playstyle that can be awkward for some people.

Personally I would still say he is decent at NP1 but if you have SSR AOE Sabers at higher NP levels, his damage may be disappointing for some.
