Hello from Ireland, I've never rode a motorbike but I'm hooked on watching you bringing me through the beauty of antique Harleys😊.
I'm from Canada 🇨🇦 and same here
Carried a motor cycle endorsement for 40 years and never put one on the road @@tomploeg2260
I have dreams of coming back to Ireland and touring it on a motorcycle. That would be the best.
Guys, life is short, buy the bike ❤
Im from ireland too. Love this chanell .an the way the guys love thes bike that thay restore and know all bout the bike in americia.
My first ride on a Harley was when I was almost 5 years old. It was in 1955 and my Mothers Uncle Roy put me on the back of his bike. I remember that the bike was black and beautiful with a big windshield. Uncle Roy dressed in Black Leather and had a billed hat, like Marlon Brando wore. I am now positive that his bike was a full dresser as there were shiny bits and things everywhere and leather bags on the rear fender with shiny buttons all over them. Uncle Roy and I blasted up and down the dirt road that my parents were building a house on and to this day I can still recall the excitement of the moment. I think Uncle Roy might have been a bit of an Outlaw in his day.
God I hope some lil kids jumps in that big basket and pulls my 🎟️!!!!! Beautiful!
Dale is definitely smiling down and you bruh. Proud Daddy for sure.
Dang! I need a cigarette! Matt, thank you for explaining the process details, as you build engines, etc. It is a very satisfying process to watch. I believe that I now love knuckleheads also! 😊
Constantly amazed at Matt’s knowledge and passion. He really is quite special. And he seems like such a nice fun guy. This museum is on my bucket list for sure.
Me too! I want to go visit the museum and would love to meet Matt and the guy's and maybe tour the shop. My brother has been there and said it is awesome.
Matt, I love these assembly videos. Watching you work is an absolute pleasure especially when you're working on such a important piece of Harley Davidson history. Your passion and love of what you're doing is apparent in the work and in your voice and actions while you do what you do... Thank you...
Matt, your passion and commitment to what your dad started, F-ing wow! Your wrenching knowledge is UP-THERE
The way you explain things even works for and old harley like me.
More support and enthusiasm from Weatern Australia. Man I was born in 63 glad the bike and myself are reconditioned or in the bikes case in progress 👍💯 awesome work man.
I love videos of fabrication and assembly. Knuckleheads are more complicated than EVO's for sure. That's gonna be one sweet ride when finished!
Matt! Thank you! I'm learning things 7 mins in. Awesome Man. That new to the world '36 raffle bike is super cool with the black and gold Sweeet
I'm going to wear these special gloves. Still gets it all over his hands🙌😂😂
Gotta love it!!
Thank you again Matt ❤️ , hopefully see the museum again in 3 weeks, I have been counting down the days 👍
You make it worth watching. You know what you're talking about, plus I get to watch you build my bike 😂A guy can dream 😉
lt is a pleasure to watch you do your amazing work Matt......The heads are a work of pure art WOW......l am to old to ride but years ago i rode my friends Knucklehead Bike and it was amazing to ride a piece of history an i think that was back in the 1970's....Thanks very much

Old F-4 Phantom II fighter jet pilot Shoe🇺🇸
So sweet to watch a magician work his magic !!! 🇺🇸🤠👍🏻🇺🇸
I have a '36 it belonged to my father. It's all Original
Has less then a hundred thousand on it. We were farmers didn't have much time to ride.
Glad to see another one coming back. Always liked the look of the baby jar spring cups and never really thought about how problematic they were with the oiling and vacuum loss. Glad to see you’re going with the updated cups. I didn’t see the press in tube that serves as the extension for the rocker box where the spring cup fits in on the exhaust side though. Must’ve gone with the late style rocker box, definitely a good choice for helping with reliability and avoiding an oil bath for the new owner when they get it opened up on the road. Hope to see more soon, y’all are doing an excellent job on this build. 👍
I’ve met these guys and can tell you all they’re some of the best people you can ever meet.
Next time in Maggie Valley, definitely check them out!!!
Talk about knowledge… like a walking technical library and lots of real world skill.
Really enjoyed this in depth look at the actual "Knuckle Head" Thanks Guys!
Love watching you build engines and bikes Matt, thanks for sharing. This 36 is going to be fantastic, can't wait to see the finished build!
Tearing down my Triumph Tr-6 to replace the wornout camshafts that were 50 years old. Cleaned up the engine and put her back together. Simple compared to what you go through.
It's a pleasure to watch you in videos. Seeing the Same Passion Dale Had. 😎 Ride On.. Thank You Matt 🏍️
Matt you're passion blows me away every video I see u live and breathe it seems like same ole 77 every video u never work a day doing what u love ty brother

You guys are the best!! Hands down best museum around can’t wait to visit. 🤩
I have always wondered what the difference was with a knuckle head.
Watching (and listening) to you build this engine answers all my questions and so much more🤠
I love watching anything you put out and learning. I’m retired so couldn’t afford the taxes but will still buy tickets
Now that's a beautiful bike I can't wait to ride it lol. As long as my name is drawn I will come and ride it back to Ohio. Love your channel it's awesome. God bless you and your family and friends.
Greetings from New Zealand
In 1956 I bought a 1936 flat head Harly trike Old delivery bike) for $18.00 Had a ton of fun on it. It had no exhaust system. fire would shoot to the cylinders. so you had to hole your foot in the right place..My neighbors took up a collection to bye in an exhaust system. Sure wish I still had the bike.
I love watching this build.
Good Day Brother
The Manufacturer of that Toyota Black sealer is LocTite , Ultra Black is what you were using under Toyota's labeling . LocTites tech department are great at helping you solve issues and determine whats the right sealant or fastener thread locker . I used them many times while I was insuring proper maintenance on world class manufacturing equipment ( hundreds of thousands of dollars per hour of down time )
Great show watch it religiously wen new shows drop .
Gonna be a beautiful bike man. Incredible work.
Pleasure watching the master at work
Very well done 👍
The efficiency with which you work blows my mind, what a treat to get to watch a master at work, truly extraordinary! thank you for this Mat. And yes, i'll get my tickets, always do :)
Thanks for doign such a nice build on my bike's engine... I wish lol. Beautiful machine.
That Toyota sealant gets everywhere no matter how hard you try not to.... and it doesn't wipe of skin easily.
Beautiful
Had tickets from when they first came out. Cheers mates
Looking absolutely amazing! 😎🇨🇦
I know that sealer too. Funny story is i searched least leaking engine and through a forum or another eventually stumbled on enough people saying the same thing for me to try it out. Been using it ever since. Really well made compound.
Man that's a work of art going together!!! Great work Matt!!!!
I'm 27 and fell in love with All antique vintage motorcycles After recently completing my restoration of my british 1972 norton commando 750, My first rebuild and she runs great! One day I'd love to find an old knucklehead, anyway i Love your videos, man!! I Fall asleep watching one every night

Piece of art coming to life man.
My Dad taught Mr to spray Aluminum paint on the head gaskets on his flathead-6 cars, back to 1957. I've done it since.
I ride on flathead Indian since 35 years ago. What is this aluminum paint you talking about for copper head gaskets ? Please, can you written some sample of bombs names here in a answer ?
Thanks, Fred from France.
Love my old knuckle. Had her 50 years this year. My first Harley and never looked back. love this rebuild.
Great channel,I'm an ole vet ,Nam .I found out how great it feels to ride a Harley .Awesome feeling on the open rd. I got me 2 used ones,Softail ,fatbob . Best thing I ever did now that all my girls are married. I just joined and think your utube channel is the best ,educational too. ❤

Dang it sure is coming together good….
Matt outstanding video, your knowledge and love of what you do comes through in every video you do. I’ll be down there in August can’t wait to see the bike and buy my raffle tickets.
Absolutely loved the video. It’s interesting to see that the knucklehead assembly calls for German torque specifications. Everything is gudenteit.
Awesome stuff Matt... gday from oz....
A fellow sailor in the Navy once saw an ad in the newspaper for a knucklehead in boxes in an attic. Old woman clearing her attic. It was complete but totally taken apart. Fifty bucks. He was so excited because he was a huge motor head biker who rode a BSA Victor constantly.
My favorite bike in the world
You're amazing 👏 keep up the exceptional work 👏
I can't wait to win this bike! If you want to just declare me the winner now, that's cool too lol.
You guys have too much fun!!😂
They did my heads an ballanced my bottom end, of my 75 th anniversary Sportster.
Matt so amazing love every video thank you
Old Bill Harley had 3 or 4 patents on that 1936 EL motor. One, I believe, covered the oiling system.
U make it look so easy and quick lol
Try your luck, ride a Knuck!
I wear my sunglasses on my head……so I can, so I can
Sing it 😊
Awesome. Thank you!
Nice without a doubt
…thrilling watch
most enjoyable
you most certainly know what you are about magnificently, skillfully
great share
just supergreat
THANKS STACKS‼️
👊🔥🥂
🪖
You mentioned end play - for the rocker shafts I assume. Maybe in another video you could show how you sorted that out? At least the tolerances for the rebuild. Thanks for sharing all this.
Yeah less detailed assembly on this video than others. Be nice to see function of the rocker arms!
I want my bike all black like Kris’s bike so please paint accordingly!
I like how you lap the valves. I used to put a small drill chuck on the valve stem and pull the valve rather than use those stupid suction cups.
I need to win that bike cause I want to learn how to operate the foot clutch/hand shift set up. Plus it would look really good in my garage.
Wears blue nitrile gloves, still ends up with sealer everywhere. SNAFU 😂
Yeah I think the knuckleheads in the panthers look the best
Excellent!
Привет из России. Вы крутые чуваки 💪🔥
Would like to see Matt build a beach cruiser bicycle with a pea shooter engine on it
Beauty
Hi Matt I was wondering, what is that silver "Paint" you put on the copper headgasket. I always thought they would do some Annealing
❤
have you guys ever worked with some of the kit bikes that are avaliable? zodiac do a bobber kit, with a pre evo shovel. just wondered how hard itd be to get registered being an old engine etc
Hi don't you ever use a torque wrench to adjust them up?
Matt can you settle an argument for me? I had someone tell me that bead blasting would destroy the finish of aluminum on a motorcycle engine. I have glass headed many things and it did not destroy the finish like sand does. What is your experience please, does it texture the cases like sand or not. Thanks buddy!
really wish someone would make these engines out of billet. prices would still be high but worth it.
👍👍
Nice to meet you, Im always having fan, let me ask a question, what is the tightening torque for the WL
crank pin nut?
Unsure of spec but I tighten to 130 lbs/ft
👍🏻
Can we enter in the competition if we are from New Zealand?
I had a chance to buy a basket case knuckle but the money fell out the bottom and the wife got cancer so I only can dream I got it thanks steve wright for the opertuneity😢😢😢
👍🇺🇸
