I've never used Illustrator, so when I found a FUI pack that I liked the looks of I was concerned I wouldn't be able to use it with Cinema 4D but this video alleviated those concerns! There's a lot of tweaking that'll need to be done to make it animatable and I have no idea how I'd get the materials to look like the promotional images, but this is a huge first step
@@thepixellab2011 im sure Maxon will update the vectorizer eventually... It's actually the only feature that's missing otherwise it is identical to CVartSmart...

Very nice, but one thing - how does it import axis centre? It should respect AI centre somehow (?) but it doesn't. There's some 'center' button but in complicated shapes not working ideally. Imagine I have complicated object made of circular sections, all are centered and I just want to rotate them around 0,0,0 without moving every pivot point manually.
I'm having an issue where I bring the Vector Import into a project, merge the project into a bigger project, and it all looks good, I press save (like 5 times), quit, come back to the bigger project, and my vector import is gone :(
I have been trying to bring in my vector object from Illustrator 2020 into Cinema 4D version 26 but I am unable to see the object in the viewport. I can see the Vector Import Object icon in the Objects Manager, but I can't actually see any object in the viewport. The axis tool is in the center but it doesn't seem to be attached to anything. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks.
I'm using r25 and don't have this option available. Any pointers? I've checked preferences and there is an illustrator import tab but no way of actually accessing it.
Did you ever find a solution to this? From what I'm reading on other websites, it sounds like the Maxon team didn't include that in Lite. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can import Illustrator files in R25 Lite.
I like that you can also "Open in AI" in the Vector Import Object tab, edit the shape in AI, save it, then click the little refresh icon in the Object tab and it updates instantly. so you can edit the AI file and not have to manually reimport and re-do all your C4D work!

I found that if you enable that Hierarchy tab, you could then scale it up like a regular object. However! I then started getting this weird bug where there would be multiple instances of the vector shape. Sometimes I couldn't see them until I rendered it.
After downloading the program Cinema 4D R25, the screen looked black and I did not know how to run the program. Please solve this problem and make an episode on TH-cam to adjust the settings, the program is master I've sent There are many people interested in this program in Egypt, and you are the first one on TH-cam in the world, explaining how to do lessons on it quickly

The texture process is why I still use CVart smart for my vector imports for many years... They have a "create material" button...

I am using the R25 lite version...and can´t import illustrator 8 vector into it...somebody have the same issues? Any solution?

What version of Illustrator does this work with? The most recent CC version? Does it react to the 'Make Editable' command? Just curious.

in maya we should use ai version 8 for saving the file, same rule here or latest version?

I wish I could use r25. The viewport locks up too much. Same reason I couldn't use 24
