@@kevinthewanderingwoodchuck2586. You betcha my friend ! Love your videos ! Merry Christmas and a happy new year ! Let’s get together and do a canoe camping trip ! Cheers
That's awesome! I have not been cross country skiing since I was a teenager- circa 1982! but it was in the Ludlow Vermont area where we used to go. I have a much smaller bag similar to that with one shoulder strap. it only fits keys wallet and small every day carry items. yours is a good size , could carry maybe a small stove and a cup etc.! thx for sharing Senior Kevin! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I'm convinced I have the kindest audience on TH-cam. Thank you so much my friend. This truly warms my heart. Same to you, have a wonderful Christmas and happy new year.
Yeah, that's really nice! I checked out the link (thanks for that!) and I'm gonna give this some consideration. I either use a small, awful Walmart backpack, or a huge USMC ILBE Gen 2 rucksack, 75+ litres and 9 pounds empty. This would be nice! Loved the "skid stick" pov, and the drone shots....spectacular! Thanks for all your work and effort to share!
The haversack is a bit expensive I will admit. But as I said in the video, I bought it directly from the maker, Malcolm, owner of the Hidden Woodsman. After I shook his hand and headed for home with this wonderful product, I will never forget that. To me, it means more than saving a few bucks. Even if I need to save up just a bit longer. I hope you do seriously consider it. I promise you won't be disappointed. Thanks for all your support my friend. Best wishes.
Thanks for the info Kevin. Got a foot of snow yesterday but supposed to rain Tuesday and Wednesday. So much for winter in Connecticut. Waiting for your next video.
Exact same forecast for here in Vermont. We received between 12"- 16" and rain/high wind for Tuesday into Wednesday. We still have a lot of winter ahead of us though. Let's do our best snow dances! Thanks for watching. Hot tent adventure in the works, keep posted!
Sure do wish I had some snow in WNY!! Im itching to get out on my skis too! That looks like a beauty of a little bugout pack! Malcolm has some nice looking daypacks too!! I sure am interested in that shell jacket you are sporting Kevin?? Jeff
His packs are incredible! I just can't afford one yet! Still saving up. Here's the link to the jacket.www.amazon.com/Grundens-Gage-Midway-Softshell-Jacket/dp/B00FOZP54M/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8
Another nice video Kevin. Looks like you had a great day to ski. Who makes those skis and boots you were wearing? Looks like a nice setup. Thanks for sharing.
The skis are Alpina lite terrain with Scarpa T4 boots. It's a solid set up for aggressive turns in the backcountry without all the weight and bulk of other set ups. I do have a bigger pair of Rossignol BC's but for most things they are just to heavy for me on the "long haul" thanks for asking brother! Get out there! Hope to see you on the next video. Best wishes.
Beautiful snow-covered tree tops.😊
I bought a ditty bag from Meandering Maker. His work is prime. Great stuff!
Nicely done sir. That looks like a viable option to a traditional day pack. Thanks for sharing man !
I absolutely love this thing! I just had to share it with you all. Best wishes as always my friend. Thanks so much for watching.
