As a huge fan of Rocky 4, specifically Vince's awesome score, I have no shame in admitting that I enjoy working out to this song. Even if I can hear Weird Al singing in my head lol.
2:41 onwards sounds like a battle rally melody but with melancholic overtones. The Autobots and planet of junk residents (they all can’t be called wreck-garr), are all positively pumped to go in to battle but realistically they are going up against a mechanical god and I believe this theme communicates that perfectly. My fave on the soundtrack.
Damn, I'd never heard this track beyond the intro from when the Quintesson ship lands and screws itself into the ground; the "Dare to be Stupid" elements mixed in just sound amazing.

I was just suggesting an alternate route through which it could have been written; the Autobots go to Cybertron not just to stop Unicron, but to take Prime's body for interment. The Junkions, with their exceptional repair skills (obviously even Magnus was beyond the repair of the Autobots considering their despair at seeing him blown up), restore life. The Autobots (along with overjoyed kids in the theater); "Look, he's alive! He's alive!"...................................Flint Dille; "What? You really thought we were gonna kill him off?" How history could've been different.
No. That would have completely devalued the emergence of Rodimus Prime and the completion of Hot Rod's story arc. Considering that Optimus would be destroyed again later anyway, they should have just left him dead, allowing Rodimus to sacrifice himself instead.
@@its-amemegatron.9521 Magnus was also supposed to be dismembered but the producers felt it was too brutal, so they went the quick route, shot him up, and he blew up. It was already established that dismemberment for a transformer was not fatal as all major components were intact.
I don't remember track 22: An Unexpected Friend during the movie. Which scene is this? Also track 28 sounds like they borrowed from "Dare to be Stupid." I wonder if Weird Al gave them permission or if he wrote "DtbS" based on track 28. Edit: I'm listening to the full soundtrack playlist.
