If anyone wants to see the tool I made to remove the hair in action. I just posted a instagram reel. kfishfred on instagram. Should be on facebook too.Merry Christmas everyone!
U make great videos. The Fishing, trapping, cleaning, and cooking. You put out a great spread of food. But you're still doing everything by yourself 90%of the time. People only show up when its time to eat.
Hey ya Ken, Hope all the family had a great time in New York. Those prayers I had been saying to get the opportunity to meet and fish with you have changed….sorry! My wife has small cell lung cancer now and we have started chemotherapy for her. My prayers have taken a different direction and are spent on her now. I know you’d understand why. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, your family and friends. I hope you would consider me one of them.
It's always nice to see a sensible wild hog trap. Jump guards really should be mandatory -- so many people underestimate just how high a desperate pig can leap.
My grandfather used a large torch with a broad head to burn off a hogs hair before processing it. The same one used it to burn off the fields before plowing it under and replanting. It was propane I think. I even remember grandmother burning the hair off with the gas burner of her stove once for some store bought meat. Lol, times have changed huh.
OHHHHHH YEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Utilizing Those Hogs In All Kinds Of Ways… Absolutely Love It Brother 👊🏻👊🏻 Definitely Can’t Beat Frog Legs And Fried Deer Tenderloin 😍😍😍Another Awesome Video Kendall Thanks For Sharing As Always 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video: pig crackling, fried frog legs and deer back-strap. yummy yummy. Have you consider automating your pig trap: you could replace the drop gate with a netting similar what Pig Brig uses. This way you can trap pigs and night without having to monitor the gate from your remote camera in the middle of the night.
Kendall, where I live, Mid Atlantic, sometimes we catch hard skin fish and sharks and I personally use a razor knife on the skin to save my nice knives. The giving you do is how we are going to survive in this world!!!
First time I’ve ever heard of making cracklings from a wild hog. They sure looked good. Thank you for another great video. God Bless and Merry Christmas to you, your family and friends !
Frederick, saludos desde Bilbao, tus vídeos son una delicia y tu manera de aprovechar la carne de los jabalíes una sabrosa enseñanza para que aprendan sobre las cosas buena de esta vida tanto moros y mahometanos como semitas y judíos.
Another great video! Our Family butchered a large hog every winter growing up. We made everything we could from the meat. Them were the good old days! You and your Family have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
It all looks great, especially those frog legs! .. those cracklins would probably be good thrown in a pot of green beans and onions, too. Happy Holidays K-Fred and all of your family and followers!!!
Kendall, I see you finally made some wild pig cracklings. Man they looked good. Wish I could've tasted some.lol. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
If you want really crispy crackling skins, you gotta poke them full of holes with a meat tenderizer or even just a fork, dry them out with salt, then rub the skin with vinegar.
Merry Christmas Mr. K. I'm from the Philippines. When the skin of the pig is reddish you had to put a water to make it crisper. Or not much crispy we put the coconut water, but it is tastier and not crispy.
You’re awesome buddy!!! That looks tasty. The drone footage was awesome from our family to yours merry Christmas!!! Keep the lord first on your way to 1 million subscribers! 👍🏼 God bless!!!
Dude, I’ve never seen your channel before but I clicked the like button literally in under 10 seconds. Why? It was 100% your personality. You should go back and watch the first 10 seconds of this video and you’ll see exactly what I mean. Keep doing you Brother. The rest of the content was informative and very well done.
Everytime I watch one of your video I am ready to head down to Louisiana for some Cajun Cuisine. We just don''t have it here in Indiana and I miss eating down there. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Kendall 😄
Candle I love watching your videos. I’m a hog trapper down here in Florida. I’m really anxious to give that Toole a try after I get one made and try those crackling. We also had a bumper crop of acorns this year and I’ve been catching hogs. That’s got astronomical amounts of fat on them here lately. I think I’m gonna give it a try.
You look like me at the deer lease . Always doing all the work solo 😊 . East Tx is a lot like south Louisiana . Thick and lots of pine plantations . Worse hunting I’ve seen in years this year . How did you guys come out ? Merry Christmas to you and your family .
Oh, my goodness this reminds me of Hog killing time in Lower Eastern NC. A real family and friends affair with folk moving from one farm to another processing 25 to 30 hogs in a day. They had a special pot with a built-in levered grate to squeeze out the grease and compress the cracklins for making cracklin cornbread and the strained oil became lard for frying the rest of the year. Nothing was wasted and even modern crime scene investigators would have had trouble finding evidence of what had taken place. Living the country life, making do with what you had and being thankful for it.
@Kendall Frederick Was the hide that tough or was the knife not very sharp? Looked like it was hard to cut. I love the videos, especially this type. I commented on a bunch of Bluegabe videos asking him to make a video with you but never got a response. Hopefully we'll hear from him soon, I think it would boost both channels. Thank you for sharing and making great family content.

Thank you! Merry Christmas!
If you'll break off a pine top and toss it in that scalding water, it'll make the hair release way better.
And happy Chanukah too
Thanks for watching!
