Great to see a fellow Solar auxilia army. Only a household retinue can take an Arvus transport, which makes no sense so great to see it being used :). Not sure a valdor tank is worth it without a tank commander, its so bad compared to a scicaran. Hope the army gets a good update in 2.0, the options are somewhat limited as most are so subpar or overcosted the army is relying completely on the str10 templates (medusa's or dracosans), Primaris lightnings, rapiers and a high stubborn infantry backbone.

Great game. Surprised you didn't bring flak missiles as 4 flyers is a lot to deal with and 2 lightning is pretty full on vs any army. That lightning that fired 4 missiles should have snap fired its lascannon, as flyers can only fire 4 weapons at full BS (even though one got hot it was still fired). It killed a marine it shouldn't have with it, but I don't think that made any difference to the outcome but something to remember. A tough line to crack with limited units for the Deathguard and I think Tom did remarkably well considering
I've watched all your videos and noticed Tom usually does really badly. Your dice arnt hot thats true but that's not the reason you lose in my opinion. You normally break your army up into 3 waves, 1st wave a pod / drill, 2nd wave tank transports / long range shooting, 3rd wave flyer with cargo. Your opponent just needs to focus fire on each wave one by one, just distroy whatever is closest allowing his 100% vs your 30%. In my opinion even if you had hot rolls you'll still lose with those tatics.
Oh yeah. Tom does always get hit hard but never hits hard. Like with this game dropping a levi in turn 1 does a bit of shooting damage then gets blown away by the full force of the solar. Never seems to get him out of that pod does he. Tom does get a bit salty sometimes complaining about his dice. Maybe he should try running his force as a complets block up the table giving his opponent multiple targets instead of one or two to pick off. But what do I know I play emporors children haha
